Vegas fun

I went to Vegas for my friend's premiere about a race horse called Lost in the Fog. It was SO much fun! I didn't feel strong enough to wear my bikini this time...turns out that Spears had been at the pool the previous day and there were a bunch of size 0 20 somethings in tiny triangles and college boys. The lobby was an interesting combination of real people and magazine glossy people. I was truly amazed at how much people smoke...I smelled like an ashtray minutes after heading out of the shower.
I was there for my friend and restricted by activities around the premiere which meant no hunting for good eats. For lunch (at 2:30) I scarfed some WW crackers, a banana and some almonds. At the cocktail party I had my first cosmo since I started SB and some pizza, yum! For dinner, we were at some Asian place and I went with the lowest fat meal, not the most SB friendly...some seaweed salad and four pieces of nigiri. The rest of the menu was noodles and stir fries. I permitted myself to relax around SB, not beat myself up and not go overboard. I was good and kept away from the food court and the milk shakes and kept it to one cocktail. Sunday I was right back on program.

I didn't really stay...I flew in and out Saturday. My friends and the premiere were at the Palms Plaza.

Sounds like you did great!

I'm actually in Vegas right now, flew in last night and am here until Friday. I've decided to eat well for breakfast/lunch/snacks and then enjoy dinner - we are mostly going to upscale restaurants, so I should be okay getting things like grilled seafood dishes and such. But I'm not going to stress over it too much. Its going to be the wine or rum and diet coke that is going to do me in if anything LOL!

Well - it seems I got food poisoning on day 1. We had a quick bite at the airport before we left (chicken burrito - I opened it up and ate the inside), apparently a big mistake to eat airport food! It was mild though, I am starting to feel a little better today. Kind of ruined dinner last night though. So far so good - my veggie omelette I had for breakfast seems to be staying where it should!

Sorry to hear about the way you spent your first night in Vegas.

I've never been there, but somehow that doesn't strike me as the way to spend any of one's time there.

Glad that you're feeling better now.
