I did South Beach a few years back and lost about 40 pounds. As we know how it goes - I got lazy and stopped eating like I should ect............. and guess what is back?? That 40 pounds. So I am kicking my butt and getting back on the beach. I actually debated what to do - and my mind kept on telling me ... foolish lady you know South Beach works - get back on it!!!! Just 1 question - last time I did the program - I got really really sick on phase 1 hyperglycemic - to the point of my eyes glassing over and almost passing out at work - Has anyone tried doing phase 1 - but just having 1 fruit to kind of sustain the sugar level?

Hi, and welcome back to South Beach and the board!
There's no reason why you need to do a full Phase 1, especially if you've had problems like that in the past.

I, too did SBD and lost weight and did the lazy thing! I am on day 7 and lost 8 lbs.!!! Good luck to you, I hope you stick around!!

Thank you to everyone that has posted encouragement to me. I have started off slowly getting back to the beach. I need to do some grocery shopping. I am going to add probably 1 serving for fruit a day to help get me through Phase 1. I did not realize that in phase 1 we are to have 2 servings of milk? Maybe the Phase 1 list has changed since I was on the beach a few years ago.
Can you try logging out as that user name, then back in?
