Pregnancy and SBD BTDT? LONG

Hi everyone!  I am currently in the beginning of week 2 on phase 1 and have lost around 5lbs so far!  Well, it appears now that I may be pregnant, and when I say I may, well I am not due for my period to even be late until this coming weekend, but have had 4 (yes I am a little obsessive) positive HPT's so...I am almost sure.  I have read about south beach while pregnant and using phase 2 and stuff, but I just wonder what it could really hurt if I happen to keep losing for the first few weeks or months.  I mean, on southbeach, I eat healthier that on anything else, especially if I start adding in some more fruit.  But I do not want to gain like I did with my first baby, which was close to 50lbs!  Infact, I am just getting very close to my pre-pregnancy weight and now here I am again!  Since I should't even know I am PG yet, can I atleast keep on with phase 1 for a few more weeks?  Anyone out there who did that with a OBGYN blessing?  Yes I will ask my own doc, but don't expect to see her for a few weeks probably...I just feel so good now after finally seeing a real loss, and some of my clothes feeling better on me, that I don't want to just let it all go.  I was on WW for 6 weeks prior to starting the SB again, and only lost 4.5 lbs without cheating so I know SB is, for me, the way to go to lose consistantly.

I want to do what is right for this baby, but it is SO early on, some people wouldn't even realize they were pregnant for 3 or 4 more weeks!  Any advice or input, or experience stories would be great!  Thanks everyone and enjoy your day!

Kelly

I would think that after two weeks on Phase 1, you really need to move to Phase 2. Even for non-pregnant people, extending Phase 1 for more than two weeks is not really healthy. JMO

I would say move to phase 2, you need a good balanced diet, it's not worth the extra few pounds.
