Losing Inches NOT pounds

For the last two weeks I have stayed the same weight. Up or down a pound but nothing noticible on the scale. However I dropped a complete pant size!
Two weeks ago the pants I have on today were a little snug but since I got them on I decided to wear them anyway just because I was so excited. Today...they are falling off!! I have to keep pulling them up and noticed when I went to use the restroom I could have pulled them off without even unzipping them!
Is this common to lose many inches and not see any results on the scale? Not that I am complaining... but I was just thinking that everyone seems to be upset that the scale isn't moving but maybe they are still losing inches like me?

Congratulations Jeni!
You're doing great!!
I too wish I would have taken measurements but I only have a straight ruler at home!
This is exactly how I lost. I would lose a pound or two a week for a few weeks. Then nothing for a week or two. During those weeks that I did NOT see a loss on the scale were ALWAYS the weeks I dropped a size. I never dropped a size and lost in the same week - and I dropped 7 sizes. I actually got happy when I saw no loss for a week, that generally meant I would wake up one morning soon and my pants would suddenly fall to my ankles!
Then towards the end, I lost my final size without any significant loss on the scale. I went from a size 4 at 117lbs to a size 2 at 115lbs. Every other size I had to lose about 10lbs. This last drop in size but no drop in weight was because I was losing body fat while gaining muscle, there fore my size went down drastically but not the scale.
