Does this count as water?

I am on Day 2 of the SB diet and have a question about water intake.  I don't prefer plain water but I CAN drink it.  However, I bought the Crystal Lite packs to put in my plain yogurt (seriously delish!!) and would love to use them in my water too IF it counts as water.  I am drinking the necessary 8 a day, but could up it a few if I can add the flavor packs.

Also, I have done SB last summer and LOVED it, but got pregnant at the end of September and with the morning sickness I was only able to handle mashed potatoes and mac n cheese for a while.  So needless to say I have about 20 lbs of pregnancy weight to lose and another 10 to be at my goal weight of 120.  I hate cottage cheese with pineapple or even plain, but I love adding sugar free jelly to it and about 2 packs of splenda.  Is this ok on phase 1?

Wish me luck, I have a wedding I have to be in at the end of August and must lose 15 lbs to fit in my dress LOL

Yes, you can use Crystal Light packets in water - it's a great way to drink more water! Whether you drink it or use it in yogurt, Crystal Light calories count toward your sweet treat limit.

Good luck getting into your dress!

Hi,

Welcome!

If you're breastfeeding you should skip phase 1 and start in phase 2.

Thank you! I think a whole crystal lite pack has 12.5 calories in it, which can add up pretty quickly since I like it so much!

I am doing a modified version of phase one with the whole grains and fruits.

So, you're doing phase 2?

If you are nursing (esp. such a little one!!!) You need to do a FULL phase 2, PLUS extras even - you need quite a bit more calories, more dairy, etc. or you could seriously jeopardize your milk supply. Some women nursing older babies may be okay being more restrictive, but since yours is not even on any solids yet (less than 8 weeks old, right?) I would be VERY careful about not cutting back too much.

I am limiting going full force with the starches. I like sweet potatoes for instance but Im holding out on them for awhile.
