Too funny, showing my trainer about SB

As part of the personal training sessions I signed up for (and almost caused Michael to have a heart attack at the price) I have nutrition counselling. The "wellness" manager of the gym knows about SB, she told me to listen to what he had to say and take the best of both programs. But she admits that what I am already doing is great as far as eating healthy. So he called to set it up, and mentioned that Friday will be our first meeting, and he wanted to talk eating. I told him I'm on SB, he had no clue what I was talking about. So I've made up a "SB for dumbies" package to educate the educator on what the benefits of this all are. Thank goodness for the internet (and this site). AND he's cute as a button.

Be sure to show him the foods to enjoy list and the meal planning guide.

One of the things that I pride myself on is having a working knowledge of most of the major diets out there so that if a client says they want to try this or that I can stop them if it's a really unhealthy fad diet.

I am so not single. Him, who knows. He's the age of most of the kids I work with (he's like 25, I stopped counting at 25). He's just so nice to look at, he has McDreamy hair...

Well, met with him yesterday. Gosh is he cute. Motivates me more to try and impress him, although he looks to be about 25, which is the age that I STOPPED counting at. LOL.

Anyway, showed him the stuff I printed off. He had never heard of this diet (WOE) before. He usually suggests doing more of a P2 and then P1, not quite sure why he does that, didn't make sense to me. He is big on nutrition, and he said it looked OK. Good thing, as this is how I eat. And, as I don't see any problem with it, this is how I intend to eat. The nutrition counselling is something that comes with the training, not really something I wanted.

So he is doing a 2 step program for me, the first is more upper body (where I really need it IMHO), second day is more core, legs, abs. I think abs are on both. But, again, he is my real life McDreamy. He's even got the McDreamy hair. At least he is good enough at his job to recognize that this WOE is following the Canada Food Guide.

fun to have our little crushes. He might not understand that P1 is temporary, to get rid of cravings . It is amazing how many books I see that is neg. on SB, they think it is all P1, that is my intake on it. They don't know. i like the plan, I just modify for my beliefs and needs. have fun with your trainer. Leila

He probably doesn't like phase 1 because it ISN'T really a "healthy" WOE. But its not a way of eating, its only a 14 day detox - not a minute more - so its "okay" or temporarily acceptable, just for the purpose it serves. But I can fully understand why someone who is versed in nutrition would not like it. Especially someone also into fitness, most people cannot keep up a rigorous fitness routine while in phase 1, and a trainer would certainly see that as a negative. I don't even like the idea of it now and if I knew what I know now, I would have skipped right to phase 2 - which is TRUE South Beach and the real weight loss phase.
