Who is your weight loss buddy?

Besides the people on this incredible board...who is your weight loss buddy?

and thank God the SB lifestyle is NORMAL and your entire family your cook for can eat it and ENJOY it...

I am a single mom with 2 daughters who are 4 1/2 and 3...and they are SOOOOOOOOO picky.  if one likes something, you can bet the other doesn't.  they would live on pizza, hot dogs, cheeseburgers and ice cream.  (my fault because it was easiest to do working full time, going to school, and dealing with this thyroid that has me so tired all the time) and now I am going to make them eat better...luckily they do like some healthy things...eggs, fruit, green beans...they both won't eat chicken though...or any other meat unless it's a hamburger or hotdog...or baloney

anyway...besides this awesome board...my weight loss buddy is my guy.  We don't live together yet (we've been together 7mths now and he lives an hour away) but we are doing weekly weigh ins and both trying to shed some pounds.  His weight is in his middle.  He has a job where he travels all over the world for months at a time...and he is usually stuck in places like Iraq and Egypt...he just got back from Macedonia in April...and while is he gone, he of course slims down...the options he has in those countries are limited and since he has no one else there...he gets to workout a lot.  But, he has high cholesterol...genetic and self induced...so he is on meds for it.  So, he is on this journey with me...he is not Beachin it, but he is just cutting down portion sizes.

Anyway...can I just say that I love my BF very much...he still thinks I am beautiful...just like I am...but he is also encouraging in the way I need to get healthy...not so I can be "skinny" but just healthy.

My ex husband was ...let's just say...a douche bag...when it came to the weight thing.  He wanted to keep me fat...and that was HARD for me cause I of course loved all the food that was keeping me that way.

Any way...just wanted to see what kind of support at home you have. :)

i have no one but you guys. People think I am too thin as they are too fat and they laugh at me. Yesterday, I was feeezing and they like the air cranked. They said, we are chubs over here, you have to gain weight to work with us. Meaning the air conditioner. They were trying to be funny, but, that is an example. leila

Hi Tiffany,

My best buddy in weight loss and most supportive friend is my hubby.

My hubby is trying to lose weight also, so he is some support; however my sisters are my main buddies even though we live on opposite sides of the country. We do challenges together and email each other and have 3 way calls to plan and discuss goals and problems we're having, etc. we do an official ck in daily at www.peertrainer.com

I had 2, my neighbour, and Mike. My neighbour was hard core, but she doesn't care anymore. SHe has had sessions with her trainer for about 6m now, still has not gone back. Michael is good, he is supportive, but does not give me a hard time when I am doing something I KNOW I should not be doing. But, as he lives here and refuses to cook alternate meals, eats what I eat. Which is for the most part OK. He also has been taking both kids to their camp and daycare so I can go to the gym for 2hr a day when I need to. He's good people!!
