SB Cookies and Candy Bars

Afternoon,

Quick question about how to count SB cookies and candy bars.  Do they count towards my carbs (grains) for the day, for my sweet treats for the day or both?

Thanks,

Erin

The South Beach cookies count as a grain serving. I am not aware of any South Beach candy bars, but maybe you mean granola bars or snack bars?

Thanks, Karen:

I thought the cookies would be a grain serving.

I am not familiar with them. But since they are not granola bars or cookies I would count them as a sweet treat (assuming they are under 100 calories).

Thanks, they are exactly 100 calories.

I first saw the candy bars - called "wafer sticks" - around January, about the same time they came out with the trail mix packets, granola packets, Tide Me Overs and the new pizza flavors. We've bought them a few times, they are pretty good! I like them because they aren't overly sweet. They make peanut butter and hazelnut, kind of remind me of a Kit Kat.

What are Tide Me Overs and where did you find them?

Tide Me Overs are single serving drink mix packets (like Crystal Light On the Go) They have fiber and protein in them to help "tide you over" between meals/snacks. They only have two flavors out right now, Strawberry Banana and Tropical. I prefer the Tropical, but they are both really good. You can find them with the other Crystal Light type mixes.

There are actually more than 3 pizza flavors. Have you had the Buffalo Chicken? That's my favorite! They also have Pepperoni, Cheese and Deluxe.

I will look for the Tide Me Overs because I do like Crystal Light since I drink so much water. Its nice to have something with flavor once in a while.

I have only seen 3 kinds of pizza so far, the pepperoni, the chicken veggie one and 4 cheeses.
