Light-n-Fit Yogurt changed??

We go through alot of vanilla Light-n-Fit yogurt. Last night when I bought it, I noticed that they've changed it! In the large 32 oz. container, it's gone from 80 cal/cup to 110 cal/cup, and the sugar is up from 9g to 15g...there are more different types of sweetener in it now. WTF?!?! I'm so frustrated! Can anyone tell me if it's still "legal"? I checked their website, but they still have the old formula up, not the new one yet...

Interesting - this actually sounds like the OLD formula. Back when I started they still had fructose in it and it was about the numbers you are talking about it. About 2yrs ago they took out the fructose and went with ONLY splenda as a sweetener. That lowered the numbers. I never chose to eat it before, even though it WAS legal (but with the 4oz per day limit due to the other sweeteners) I only started buying it since they took that out, but I switched to a store brand light yogurt (sweetened with only splenda) because they have like 15 flavor choices.

A lot of things changing lately...since the "low carb" fad is over now, us South Beachers will get the short end of the stick as companies go back to adding sugar to everything!

Yeah, I figured they went back to that. Well, can't say for sure, but back in '05 it was legal w/the fructose, but that was why it was phase 2 only and limited to 4oz.

OH NO ....When I went grocery shopping at walmart I looked for that one too. It had 0 added sugar just a little natural sugar and and 0 fat. I thought they were just out of it. Now I am very disappointed. It is the only kind of yogurt that I have eaten since being on south beach sometimes I would add berries to it. Maybe we should all write the company and find out whats going on.

The only yogurt I ever buy is Kroger Fat Free Plain.

I believe the Carb & Sugar Control yogurt is not a non-fat yogurt, and therefore not legal? Only non-fat yogurt is allowed. Most "low carb" products are not suitable for South Beach due to things like fat content.

You freeze yogurt? How do you defrost it? How is it after?

Yep, I've frozen yogurt for I don't know how long, and never have any problems.

I usually defrost it overnight on the kitchen counter.
