Freezing Bananas ?
| Thu, 08-14-2008 - 1:32pm |
I have a couple of bananas that are about ready to make Banana muffins, but I want to wait til next week to make them- I have a Breakfast Book Club meeting at my house on Friday. I think I have heard of others freezing bananas, but am unsure how exactly to do it. Can anyone give me any advice?
Thanks,
Crystal

LOL - Yeah, I think that pic of the counter is why I will stick to peeled/in bags!
Definitely try the Magic Eraser, works on EVERYTHING, took Sharpie off my great-grandma's hope chest after my ds tried to "decorate" it when he was 3. And it worked on Koolaid stains on my counter.

Freeze, Please
When it comes to creating fantastic summer snacks, it's time to think inside the box—the ice box! Some of your favorite fresh fruits make surprisingly tasty frozen treats. Try a few!
Bananas: These are always loved frozen because they take on an ice cream-like texture. Just peel, slice and freeze!
Strawberries: To make them easier to pop in your mouth, clean and hull the strawberries before freezing.
Kiwifruit: Peel and slice before freezing.
Oranges: Cut into quarters before freezing. If you wish, wrap in plastic wrap to make them easier to handle.
Grapes: Just wash and freeze. For a cool and low-cal movie treat, hide a baggie of frozen grapes in your purse. Don't worry, we won't tell.
