COUNTDOWN TO SEPTEMBER 23rd...
We're only 6 days away from the post off against the WWF board. Start thinking about strategies to keep our numbers high. I think their board is busier than ours, so we're going to have to work hard! Perhaps some games that people will enjoy playing...questions we will have fun answering...drumming up support from other boards...calling in sick from work (LOL)..."working from home" that day...sending the kids to a playdate so you can have some mommy time...etc.
I'm sure we're being "watched", so if you have games or questions to post, wait and surprise us with them next Tuesday.

I was thinking the same thing about coming up with strategies...but we don't want to tip our hand for visiting *eyes*!!! ;-P
At one point yesterday I checked out the WWF board and saw that we were ahead in the number of posts - not alot, but definitely had more posts at that time.
Karen,
That just means that they are going to be really tired by the 23rd.
Just to be clear on the rules.
It's total posts for the day
The day beginning at 12:01 AM and ends at 11:59 PM?
Does not have to be SBD related, just posts, games, questions, random thoughts (in the DYK) etc?
Sheila
Copied from Julie's post in the challenge and "prettied up"
Hmmm - so that means all our "usual" posts - weigh ins, journals, recipes, menu help, product questions, etc. won't count?
That makes it A LOT harder!

To me it sounds like we'll just have to post all those things in one thread.
I think that's what Cathy is checking into now.
I totally agree -
I personally will not post advise, recipes, etc. to one weird "thread" even just for the day because I feel it will be a detriment to the overall purpose of the board. Chit-chat, games, etc. fine. Someone who is stopping in for the first time or someone who is not a regular but still needs info may not understand the whole concept that could put people off. For example, imagine if my first day/first post here asking for advise about starting South Beach went totally unanswered because I didn't post it in a "special" thread for the day because I didn't know? I'm not 100% sure I would have started if I didn't get responses from people like Maggie, Cathy and then cl-Susan.
For the good of the board and for our purpose SOMEONE has to continue to answer/respond to OTHER posts as usual that day. I think the post off sounds fun, but I am concerned that newbies, lurkers, etc. will get the short end of the stick if they need help/support that day (our #1 goal as a board) if we just jam everything in one thread.
Especially since the search feature has been HORRIBLE lately - I used to use it very proficiently for years, and now I can't find anything at all.
