Reflections on the Post-Off

What a fun day we all had yesterday!! We SBDers really know how to go the distance!!
It was fun to see the commitment everyone made to the post-off. We saw many new and newer members along with our regulars. The west coast crew got us off to a great start - there were at least a couple of hundred posts by the time I signed on yesterday morning. And, after I threw in the towel, I see our night crew persevered to the bitter end!! I am amazed at myself a bit - I think I went a bit overboard - the post-off became an obsession; I just couldn't stop myself!
We did a GREAT job - once many of us figured that removing our siggy so pages would load faster and then how to use multiple windows to post faster, we really got cranking. Too bad it was late in the afternoon by then! But we WILL be ready for the next challenge (just not too soon though!)
A couple of things from yesterday's DYK stand out in my mind:
Dana sleeps with a teddy bear
Katy has a lot of weird stuff in her refrigerator
Jennie with all her open-mindedness is afraid of haunted houses and Cosmopolitan Magazine
Nancy and I share the same birthday (well almost, she is 11/28 and I am 11/29)
Also, I would love to know the following "facts" from yesterday:
What was the final count for both WWF and SBD?
Which was the longest SBD thread?
Who had the most posts?
And the funniest line (IMO) was: Jennie to Dana: "delete or update your ticker you freak!"
Until next time...............

I thought it was great!
What a team!
The longest thread was the dyk thread with 1,457
The random word thread was next with a total of 1,126
I've asked Amy for the other numbers.
I wish I could have posted more, but the family stuff got in the way and not feeling well on top of that.
I had a great time yesterday, too! Even though I wasn't here all day, even the off and on posting I did was exhausting! So I can imagine how wiped out you were, Karen.
I had a horrible headache last night (which is still hanging around this morning), so I wasn't able to come back late and help out...sorry ladies! Looks like it wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway, what with the insane lead they had on us!
And yes, I still sleep with a teddy bear at the age of 36, and I'm not ashamed to admit it!! ;o)
And no, I have not yet deleted my ticker. Take THAT, Jennie!!
I read thru the dyk thread because I knew that's where people would be posting.
Okay if you are going to talk about me - get it right.
I said I don't DO haunted houses. I am not afraid of them. I am not down with the vivid horrid dreams that my wild imagination then concocts in the aftermath!!!!
