Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

I know we have a lot of Starbucks officianados on this site.  Can anyone answer this question?

I used the Starbucks online tool to calculate the nutritional info on a tall pumpkin spice latte, nonfat, no whipped cream, and it came down to 200 calories.

It still has 37g sugar.  Is there any way to order this minus any added sugar?  There's no ingredients list on the site.  If you can get it sugar-free as well as fat-free, anyone know what the calorie count would be?

You can't get SF Pumpkin Spice Syrup. You can get SF Cinnamon Dolce (sp) Syrup and it's *almost* as good.

As bad as it may be for me, I did order it last weekend - I got a tall and only 2 pumps of Syrup and it was so good. It won't be a habit (I'll probably do Cinnamon Dolce for the fall), but it was a nice little treat.

You could also go in and see what the syrup bottle says, many places are nice enough to allow you to do it. Their website isn't always accurate, last time I was on it wouldn't let me "make" a chocolate banana smoothie with NF milk, but that's how I get it in the store.

-Corporate Run, 3.5 miles 6/2/11 (36:38, 4 days after running the half!)
-BAA 10k, 6/26/11 (1:04:52, wanted to be under an hour...)

That's a good idea about asking to see the syrup bottle(s).

As everyone said - its the syrup. The syrup isn't sugar-free, they can't take the sugar out of the syrup and they don't offer a sugar-free version of that flavor. I add a but of nutmeg to my sf cinnamon dolce lattes and it gets it *closer* to that flavor.

I was hoping they would come out with a sf pumpkin syrup this year since they did a sf gingerbread one at Christmas last year.

DaVinci has a sugar-free pumpkin syrup - so you could make your own at home. I haven't tried it yet, I have their sf gingerbread and sf eggnog for making my other favorite Starbucks drinks!

I am in love with these lattes! They were my comfort food when I was evacuated for Hurricane Ike. I found a copy cat receipe. If you can find the pumpkin spice syrup you do not need the canned pumpkin. I know you can order from the Monin website.

1-2 shots espresso
1 cup 1% milk
1 tbs canned pumpkin
1 tsp pumpkin spice syrup
Pumpkin Pie spice

warm milk and pumpkin at medium heat, until steaming
Pour mixture into blender and blend for 20 sec at high speed until foaming
Pour over espresso
Dust with Pumpkin Pie Spice

Another quick note: My husband ordered me some pumpkin spice coffee. I will let you know how that works. I am thinking maybe I will be able to add the steamed milk and some splenda for the same effect.

Hey Samantha - hope you got through Ike okay. We are on the west side of Houston so we didn't have to evacuate or anything - but it was still quite the experience!

Thanks for asking, I live outside of Beaumont. We were far enough north not to have any surge, but my whole house has some wind blown water damage. We will probably have to repaint everything and knock out a few walls. But we still have our home and that is what counts!

Yeah, a lot of people on my street lost big portions of their roofs and then had a lot of water damage to drywall, carpet, etc. We were pretty lucky - no roof problems at all, its strange to see the house next door and across the street with big blue tarps, but ours is just fine. I think the biggest impact it had on us was that the kids were out of school for a whole week - ugh!

I get to start back with classes this afternoon. I am on an internship and those schools will not open until Monday. We were hit by Hurricane Rita 3 years ago and we were finally seeing the end of the "blue roof invasion." They are everywhere again.

If anyone out there wants to help out with donations and such there is a great non profit sending trucks full of supplies to families who have lost everything.

I am donating all of my daughters old clothes and stroller to a family in galveston who lost everything.
