change in taste buds

I was so excited to find this board.  I definately need the support.

I did SB for three weeks but had to stop for a few days because of sickness and now that I am better I feel like spending time in the kitchen again and will get back on track.  I'm trying to find a way to do this so that I am not cooking constantly.  I can't have dairy or wheat so things are a bit more complicated.

Anyway I've noticed that everything I'm eating that I really love but not SB legal now tastes awful.  Nothing tastes right, but when I eat my SB food it tastes wonderful.  Just thought it was interesting and wondered if anyone else experienced it too.

Yes - I've been eating this way for almost 4 years. I simply can not stomach anything with real sugar now - it it just way too sweet in my mouth. I've tried tasting a bite here and there of deserts or things friends have served just to taste - I can barely swallow something made with regular sugar. Waiters have accidentally brought me sweet tea or regular coke instead of diet at restaurants and I have practically spit it across the table because the taste is SO strong and "thick" to me now. I also can't stand the mouth feel of greasy/fried foods, they feel like they coat my mouth and the texture makes me gag.
