Let the SBD Holiday Challenge Begin!!

Wed, 10-01-2008 - 6:21am

Today is the first day of our SBD Holiday Challenge.  Wednesday will be our check-in day each week.  This challenge will carry us through December 31st (which, ironically, is on a Wednesday).  Anyone can join the challenge at any time.

Here's a thought to get you started...

"You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it." -Margaret Thatcher

Post your introduction to this thread...your name, how long you've been following SBD, and your three-month goal.  Then post your goal for this week.  Perhaps it will be to exercise a certain number of days; try meal planning for the week; to try a new food; or whatever you think will help you jump-start this challenge.

Good luck!

OK, I'm in - after careful consideration - because I know "me" and how easily I can get side-tracked and off diet.

I started SBD about 3 years ago and went from 180 to 140, but stopped eating right and went back up to 166.

Currently I hover around 163, mostly because I don't eat right and/or too many grains and cheats and definately not enough exercise!

I'd like to get to at least 145 by January 1.

To get to 145 I'm going to have to step up the exercise, be diligent about not cheating and over eating on the grains and change up my menu a bit.

You can do eet! :-)

Nice seeing you around again, Deb, I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were doing. Didn't you have a knee injury or something like that last summer? My brain's a bit foggy due to lack of sleep. So how the heck are ya?

The sheer volume of the DYK threads intimidate me, so I haven't been on them. LOL Congrats on getting all your veggies in! That's one of my "needs improvement" areas.

Things are great here, I'm thoroughly enjoying mommyhood and being a stay-at-home mom. Claire is wonderful and a relatively easy baby. I just can't believe she's almost 4 months old, it's true about how they grow like weeds.

It's great seeing you around and chatting with you again. :-)
