What's Everyone doing for the Weekend

Since I've been living a pretty boring life lately and have no plans this weekend, except for doing some fall yard work, I thought I check to see if anyone has any fun plans.

You certainly have a reasonable excuse to express your regrets for the event if you don't want to go.
Joy - What did you decide to wear to the Bar Mitzvah?
Cathy - How about a donation to a charity in the couple's name? Or, a membership subscription to a NYC museum?
No plans for tonight. Saturday, we are going to see Arthur Miller's All My Sons (starring John Lithgow, Dianne Weist and Katie Holmes) on Broadway. Then we are having dinner at Barbetta ( http://www.barbettarestaurant.com/home.html). It's the oldest restaurant in NY that is still run by the family who started it (100 years).
Your Saturday sounds great!
I'm looking forward to spending some time outside in this beautiful fall weather! Tonite DD is performing with the HS cheerleaders at the football game, so we will attend our first local football game. Tomorrow morning we'll head down to the farmer's market (last one of the year!)...my favorite place! After that we may hit our favorite wine/liquor shop that has just re-opened after being destroyed in the floods back in June. Then probably do some shopping in town (frog needs more crickets!)... Tomorrow night I'll make a big pot of chili & some jalapeno blue cornbread.
Sunday will probably be spent finishing up our garage project, and maybe doing some purging upstairs. I also need to get our fall/Halloween decorations up...
Hope everyone else has a great weekend!
I'm working at my 'extra' job from about 8-1 and then just doing errands in the afternoon (walmart etc).
Sunday my SO and I will go for a drive in the Gatineau Hills and look at all the beautiful fall colours on the trees! Can't wait!
Joy,
We're going to be in the same general place.
Jamie,
I think the donation idea is a good one.
Busy weekend. DD has 2 friends over for a birthday sleepover tonight. They are finishing up decorating pillowcases with fabric markers and fabric that I borrowed from my Mother. She always has lots of fabric around since she likes to quilt. Ok, it seems the pillowcases are done (at least for a little while), and they are playing with the Wii.
We took them out to eat and to a movie tonight. I think they're having a good time. I'm beat, tho. I'm usually a night owl, but DH was gone overnight last night on business and I hardly got any sleep.
Tomorrow we will be getting the girls back to their homes and going to my great nephew's 1st birthday party. So lots of partying this weekend.
Sunday will DD's actual birthday, so we'll be meeting some family members at our favorite Chinese buffet.
So eating will be a challenge this weekend. So far so good, but the cake hasn't been cut yet....
