SBD Holiday Challenge: 10/8 Check In

It's time to check in and see how everyone did during the first week of our holiday challenge. If you need a reminder as to your personal goal, check the thread below.

"It's hard with 4 kids ages 4 and under. I'm exhausted. I'm doing what I can though. I signed up for a water aerobics class that I'll start Saturday. I know it's not a lot, but it's a start. I'll check in as much as I can!"
Jammie, congrats on the weight loss!
I checked the schedule, and spin (Psychling, they call it) is at noon on Mondays and Wednesdays--I'm more of a morning workout girl (after I drop off the kids), but I may give it a try this week or next. They also have it at 5:45 AM, but I can't get to that one. I accidentally tried a step class last week--it was called "Cardio Mix", and described as a mixture of different aerobic workouts with some weights thrown in--HATED it. The first half-hour was step, which I despise, so once that part was over and they moved into regular "aerobics", I left and went to do my weight training.
So far I've found one class I really like--Ironworks, which is a great weight workout with barbells and steps--and one yoga class that's not too bad. But for the most part I stick to the cardio machines and weights, in addition to the running I do at night with my friend. It's fun to mix it up sometimes, though!
How's Claire? She's beautiful! How are you adjusting to motherhood?
Thanks to everyone for the support and encouragement! I am happy with my weight loss so far. I've got a ways to go but I've got forever to get there now. Knowing that I'm not getting pregnant again means that my body is really mine again. I'm ready to take it back. I know I can't exercise as much as I'd like now but that will get better with time. I do have complete control over my diet though. It doesn't take any longer to choose a healthy snack than it does to grab crap. I'll do what I can do as I can do it and I know that slowing but surely, I'll get to where I want to be. :)
