How was everyone's week? Did you meet the weekly goal you set for yourself? What's in store for you this coming week, and how do you plan on dealing with any eating challenges that might arise? Do you have a goal for this week?
My weight is about the same - holding steady at 1.5 less than at the start of the challenge. My eating is about 75% clean - need to change that this week. Exercise - not back to the gym yet. I am hoping that in this time I haven't been going that they changed the class schedules again to include the classes I enjoy. I guess I'll have to actually get there to see if that's the case.
Goals for the week: 100% clean eating, gym 3 times.
I made my goal - I walked a little on Saturday and I ate clean for the most part! There were a few slips (those cookies on Saturday were SO good!), and dealing with this cold the last few days came to over doing it a little on the STC (Crystal Light, cough drops, pudding, etc.) but overall, I ate more veggies, stuck to legal (as opposed to almost legal) grains and it worked. I'm down to a new low this morning. I'm going to wait a few days before updating my "official" ticker, the one I use for daily weighing, but the challenge ticker is going down - I only update that once a week.
This week starts off with a food challenge - business lunch with the client and auditors, at a steakhouse for a person who doesn't eat steak. I'm just going to do the best I can and move on...I've started with a big breakfast (1+ cups of yogurt, had to finish the container, veggie bacon, egg beaters, and cheese on a WW Flatout Kidz, and a cup of green tea with mandarin orange) and I'll pick up a skinny vanilla latte on the way to my meeting and resist any breakfast pastries they may have.
Past Races:
-Boston Run to Remember Half Marathon, 5/29/11 (2:35:11, no training!)
-Corporate Run, 3.5 miles 6/2/11 (36:38, 4 days after running the half!)
-BAA 10k, 6/26/11 (1:04:52, wanted to be under an hour...)
-Tavern to Tavern
As I predicted after the first pound drop in eons, we are holding steady. I have not had any wine or cheese all week (this is huge people). As I suspected, when I focus on trying to eat vegan, my veggies are *so* easy to get in, and gone are all the extra calories that find their way into my meals (cheese!!). Now that my 5K is over, instead of focusing more on my running schedule, I am going to switch things up and focus on my strength training (still going to keep running- just not as much).
My goal for last week was to stick to Phase 1 and keep losing weight, and according to the scale yesterday I have lost 5 lbs and I have been right on track with my eating. My official WI day is Saturday morning so I will know for sure if the weight sticks if its still there this weekend, but for now I will take it!!
I cant remember if I had an exercise goal this week but I dont think I did, I ended up going for a short walk with DH on Monday morning but other than that I didnt get any exercise in.
My goals this week are to do meal planning, lose 1-2 lbs and walk 3 days before next week.
Joy, WTG on your loss this week!
Destiny, Good for you at getting rid of the cheese and wine, cheese is a killer for me too!!
I've been really concentrating on getting at least 4 days of exercise this week and I think it's paying off. So far this week, I'm doing pretty well with my eating. Although that baked oatmeal really tasted like cheating!!! OMG, I don't know why I waited so long to fix that???

You're really into a good groove right now with your weight loss progress!

I can't remember what my goal was but my weight is not budging.
I'm down 2ish pounds from the start of the challenge.
My goal for this week is to eat as clean as possible, and to try to exercise (of some sorts) 3 days.
I just found our we are having a class reunion for the people I went to grade school with (K-8) over Thanksgiving, so I need to get motivated.
