SBD Holiday Challenge Check In

It's Wednesday, and time to report in on your progress this past week for the SBD Holiday Challenge.  How did you do with the goal you set for yourself?  If you need a reminder of your goal, here's a link to last week's thread.

What will your goal be this week?  Maybe it's as simple as making it through Halloween without gaining any weight; or maybe it's time to start a new exercise routine.  We'll check in next Wednesday to see how you met that goal.

We don't pass out candy because of where we live -- no sidewalks, busy road, no street lights.

We did pick up a box of Hershey bars at Sam's to give out to the neighbor kids/friends.

Well none of us really need that candy, do we?

Maegan has braces and her orthodontist is already on me to take her for a cleaning. And she is due for one. But I haven't made the appt yet. Doesn't help that I completely forgot her ortho appt on Monday and had to call and re-schedule.

Truth is, Maegan gets tired of the candy after a while as well. And when it sits in the snack drawer for ages, I tell myself it's no longer any good anyhow. So I always know where it is, but I have that snack drawer divided into healthy snacks on one side and Maegan's stuff on the other. The Halloween candy has been in the bottom drawer for at least a couple of weeks now. But...it's unopened and will stay that way..until Halloween!!!

I am joining in this week too!

My goals for the week are to drink 2 liters of water daily and to get in 3 weight training sessions. I usually drink plenty of water but lately I haven't been, don't know why. Every Friday I do a strength training class and try to do 2 others on my own at home. Since school and afterschool activities started up I haven't been able to fit in the home workouts.

Next week I'll work on specific food issues.

Good luck to all!

Ok, I'm starting the challenge a few weeks late. Today I weighed in at 183.4. I forget how long the challenge goes, but I would love to get down to 170 by the end of the year.

My goals for this week are to get in 5 workouts (Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, plus one more day that I'm not sure of yet) and to eat clean! Baking is my biggest weakness, so I need to learn portion control!

I met my goal of exercising four times before I went to Florida and keeping my eating in line there.

Well, this past week has gone pretty well. I have so far managed to run 4 of the past 7 days (and will go tonite, too). I did the Ironworks class at the gym on Mon & Weds, and did cardion & weights today. I have to take tomorrow off to go on a field trip with DS. But we'll try to run this weekend.

Eating has been really good...with the exception of the Nutter Butter incident from a few hours ago (actually I think I only had 2 cookies total)... But I'll blame that on the kids, as we were using them to make their Halloween treats for school tomorrow... This weekend should be a pretty good one. My main challenge will be the Halloween party tomorrow night.

Goals for next week...get to the gym 4 times, run Sat, Tues, Weds, possibly Thurs. Find some new recipes to try--not like I don't have a ton of cookbooks/magazines to look in--I just tend to find the recipe, mark it, then forget about it.
