We're 6 weeks into the SBD holiday challenge; how are you coming along? Report in and tell us how you did this past week, and set a new goal for yourself this week.
Only 7 more weeks until the end of the challenge! We had 13 weeks total, so we'll be halfway there this weekend.
Overall, I did good this week. I'm down from last week (yea!), I actually walked to see my staff, I made the best choices almost every meal (lunches were much better than dinners), but I ate way to much candy.
I hit a new lowest low on Monday, and proceeded to gain more weight! I know it wasn't a fluke because I'd been steadily going down on the scale. I'm back down to almost what I was at on Monday and I'm just going to keep going. Next time I hit the low I'm going to update my main ticker.
This week, more about making the best choices. Dinners are getting worse, we were pretty much banned from ordering Mexican (easiest the best choice SB wise) because of the cost.
Past Races:
-Boston Run to Remember Half Marathon, 5/29/11 (2:35:11, no training!)
-Corporate Run, 3.5 miles 6/2/11 (36:38, 4 days after running the half!)
-BAA 10k, 6/26/11 (1:04:52, wanted to be under an hour...)
-Tavern to Tavern
I've missed checking in here the last few weeks, but things are pretty stable. I have had mostly good days (with a few bad ones here and there). My weight is still fluctuating between 134-137....right now I am at 136. I have also made my big return to the gym!
My goals for this week: 1) have zero 'bad eating days' 2) make it to the gym today, Thursday, Friday and Monday or Tuesday of next week as well as Wednesday.
I was down another 2 lbs. which brings my total to 14. My exercise came to a stand still due to a low back issue -- which was REALLY disappointing. However, I'm getting a second disc injection, which last time, kept my pain at bay for a year. It requires a week of bed rest afterwards and then I'll be good to go.
Though I never "cheated" last week, I didn't always make the best choices. Specifically, if I'm in a hurry, I tend to grab meat rather than vegetables. (I seem to have lots of meat leftovers in the fridge.)
Today I will make a chart for my daily veggie servings and check them off as I eat them. Hopefully that will help me focus on healthier choices this week.
I bounced around this week up and down 2 pounds here and there but happily when I weighed in this morning I was at 159.5 where I was this time last week.
I guess this past week has been OK...nothing stellar, but not too horrible, either. Exercise-wise it went pretty well. I made it to the gym all 4 days as planned, and ran with my friends I think 4 times. The weather is starting to get in the way, though. We're planning on going tonite, though. I have the 8K next weekend...and I'm kind of hoping the weather is horrible so I have an excuse to skip it! I just don't fell ready. But...
I did have a few food set-backs, but nothing out of control. DH and the kids made an angel food cake this weekend, which left me with a ton of egg yolks that I ended up using to make ice cream and gelato. But I won't eat much of it. We went out for pizza on Saturday (the kids earn free personal pan pizzas for their reading sheets at school), but DH and I have switched from the thick-crust to the thin-crust--it's amazing how big of a difference there is in calories!! I've been cooking more the past few weeks, after getting in a rut and slacking on it for awhile. So lots of good stuff there.
I need to look back and see what my goal actually was! But overall, I think it's going well. I haven't weighed in about a week, and will probably weigh in the morning...but I feel like I'm holding steady.

I maintained this week.
Joy,
I used to love FitTV.
I remembered you saying that about Cathe Friedrich, and after I enjoyed the workout I did the other day, I set up a couple of hers to record.
After having hit a low for me (138) last week, my weight bounced up
I'm thinking I may be one of those people for whom a challenge really doesn't do much good.
