I tried to do this about a year ago, lost a bit, then went awry and have put it all back on. I enjoyed following it and wish to try again. However the credit crunch has bitten and I need to look carefully at all the info again and re-do my menu plans.

I was wondering if anyone else has these issues and can help me plan some daily dishes to help me lose weight with this diet, within the restrictions of a tight budget?

Thanks in advance.

Thankyou for that advice. I will "digest" it and come back here if I need to know any more.

Is turkey bacon allowed? How much? I am wondering what to do for breakfast as it is cold now.

I must go and hunt for soup recipes down in the recipes.

Turkey bacon is allowed, but a maximum of 2 strips/day.

Thanks everyone for all those very helpful links. I have a crockpot so those recipes are very welcome, and the soup ones will save my life! LOL

Unfortunately we don't get as many coupons that you get in the US over here in the UK. It seems to be more of a US phenomenon. There are special offers now and then at local supermarkets, and I do try to stock up when I see my favourites at a good price. We tend to get lots of BOGOF (buy one, get one free) offers which can help. I also try to shop at Lidl which is a discount store and does have good quality stuff at very fair prices, but not sophisticated stuff like Turkey Bacon (actually I have never tried that), nor a huge selection.

Hi, I understand your need to be frugal. With the current economy, I'm sure that a lot of us are feeling it even more. My favorite tip is stocking up on chicken, seafood & meat when it's on sale, and freezing it. I do the same with lean lunchmeat and turkey bacon. I also stock up when frozen veggies and frozen berries are on sale. This saves me a bundle.

In that "Getting Started" link, look especially for the link there called "Budget-Friendly Tips - save money here!"
