When I read The Southbeach diet book I remembered reading that cosuming fiber before a meal helped slow the digestion of whatever you are eating, which is something mentioned a lot in the book as a positive thing, so today I bought this but wanted opinions on it....

It has 0 sugar, 10g fiber and 12g carbs,  is this permissable in Phase 1 or 2 or both?

TIA!

You would have to count those 20 calories towards your 100 calorie daily sweet treat limit.

South Beach also makes a drink mix called "Tide Me Overs" - they have fiber, but they also have protein, I really like having the combination of both. I use them a lot when I am at school and have to go a bit longer than I'd like between meals/snacks.
