for hose that own a magic Bullet, can you use it like a blender?  If you wanted to make a smoothie would you use this? I have been thinking for about 3 years about buying one and I never do but I am always looking for the reason to put me over the edge lol. Any one that cannot live w/o it?

I find that it makes great smoothies, but I personally don't like it for other things.

I wouldn't say I couldn't live without my magic bullet, but I will say that eating this way would be a lot more trouble without it?

My magic bullet stays on my counter all the time. I would never do that with my big blender. DH & I have smoothies probably 5 nights out every week and the magic bullet makes it so easy! I also have made legal bread crumbs and sauces and chop nuts for toppings in mine. I love that it cleans up so quickly and the cups get washed in the dishwasher.

When I bought mine, I paid a little more than best price for it, but I got 2 complete sets for the price of one. And I haven't had to touch the second set yet...that's been over 2 years.

So I think they are definitely worth the money. And when you find out how easy it is to make a great tasting smoothie in them, you'll wonder why you waited so long to get one!

My Magic Bullet is sometimes the only thing that helps me eat breakfast -- I'm not normally a big breakfast eater but a smoothie is just right. Mine sits right next to my coffee maker. I make fruit smoothies and Reese's smoothies. It's also great to make a quick soup -- I throw in a can of drained asparagus, some skim milk & seasonings, then heat. Also great for making a quick cold cucumber soup -- half a cuke, skim milk, scallions, dill. Yum-0!! I got it on sale at Kohl's. Shop around.

Bed Bath & Beyond usually has them for $59 and if you have one of their 20% off coupons it makes it the best deal.

Another plus with BB&B, at least the one near me, is that they honor their coupons even after expiration, and they let you use mutliple coupons on a single order instead of ringing items separately.
