And I'm down 5 pounds!

Not that I was planning on it, but I have to say, you don't go to Cuba for the food!   I lived on Black Beans, bread and Fruits while I was there!!   Their coffee is awesome though!!

I was really miserable when I was there.   I don't know if you recall my post where I mentioned that I kept burping all the time and we thought it was because I was taking in too much fibre.  Well it got a lot worse when I was down in Cuba.   I was so uncomfortable,  I was nauseated and the pressure in my stomach was unbearable.   I almost went through my whole pack of Gravol and Rolaids.    I wasn't sleeping because the pressure and discomfort was so bad, I was awake at 4 am walking the floors trying to deal with the discomfort.  We got back home on Tuesday night ( actually very early Wednesday morning) and the first thing I when the Doctor's office opened was make an appointment.

My Doctor Checked me out to ensure that I wasn't going into heart failure (which I'm not thank goodness).  But she suspects that I may have a Hiatus Hernia.

She's prescribed Pantoloc to deal with the acid reflux.   Last night was the first night where I have been able to sleep through the nigh without being woken up in discomfort.   I slept until 11 am this morning!!

I'm scheduled for some more test to determine if it is indeed a Hiatus Hernia.   I'll keep you posted.

She thinks that stress and or the fact that I'm overweight may have caused it.
