South Beach Diet-friendly Cold Remedies?

Hi. *Cough-cough-cough*

I have a cold. No stuffy nose, but drainage into my throat leading to some congestion in my chest, a sore throat, and coughing. I've been taking Robutussin, but it occurred to me that it probably has sugar in it. I'm sure most cold remedies (other than tabs) have sugar in them.

Any ideas to help me? I've been really craving sweets and starches the past few days and I think part of it is due to being sick, while the other is from taking liquid cold medicine.

I scaled back my workout today to only lifting weights and 30 minutes on the treadmill at an easy pace.

Thanks.

Elena *Cough-cough-cough*

I have something similar right now; it started in my head and now it's in my chest.

Hall's makes a sugar-free Fruit Breezer that works well if you're just having trouble with a dry cough. I like these particularly because they are not mentholated. Usually, the mentholated cough drops upset my stomach if I have too many of them.

Hope you feel better soon!
