South Beach & Biggest Loser ?

I have been watching The Biggest Loser for many seasons. I have been on South Beach since January 2005, and have been pretty good about maintaining my weight. I have joined a gym and work out about 5 days a weeks, so weight has not been an issue other than a little fluctuation (and I think age plays a major factor in that). My question is this: Has any one purchased the Biggest Loser recipe book and are there many recipes in it that is SB approved. I don't want to spend the money on something that I won't be able to use much.
The other evening on the show, Bob was telling Mikey how he has to eat more to rev up his metabolism, which I understand. Then they go to subway and Bob tells them a Turkey sub on whole grain with fruit and milk is only about 500 calories. Now I know that none of the breads at subway is south beach approved except the wrap, and this is why I don't want to get mislead by getting the reciped book. Just thought it would be good for variation of recipes and try different things. Thanks for your input.
Kathy

I'm not familiar with the cookbook at all.
Kathy,
According to the original Biggest Loser book, their way of eating and recommended foods is almost exactly the same as South Beach.
A lot of those recipes look really good.
Hi Maggie,
Thanks for all the great info.
Kathy, I understand.
I am also in my 40's and having a difficult time dieting and loosing weight. What type of exercises do you use to work out? I have all kinds of exercise equipment at home, but can't seem to get a routine going. Did it really help to boost your weight loss?
The Daily Plate (http://www.dailyplate.com) is a website for tracking calories.
Also, why don't you try starting a journal in our iJournal section of the board?
