For Tempting Tuesday, how about sharing your favorite SBD food of the week? If you're anthing like me, your tastes change as you get bored of old favorites and move on to new ones. I just got the SBD cookbook and LOVE it! I'll post a great recipe from there below. But my favorite snack is peanut butter yogurt w/either strawberries or bananas in it, and a few crushed peanuts on top. This has replaced my nightly ice cream, and I am loving it. (Which I think is rather pitiful that I'm loving a FF yogurt for a treat! LOL)

Anyhow, Suzy, I hope your husband is feeling well today! Back surgery is always scary. Any surgery is scary, I guess, but spinal and brain surgery are probably the top two worriers! Hope he feels MUCH better now that they freed up that poor nerve. OUCH!!

Tricia - I must've missed these famous pancakes! Can you point me to the recipe?

I'll share yesterday and today's menus since I'm trying very hard to be good:

MON:

B: 2 hardboiled eggs, 1 slice of ham, coffee w/milk

S: cheese stick

L: big salad with veggies, turkey and HB egg, and shredded cheese. Ranch dressing (>1 g of sugar... that's ok, right?)

S: nothing

D: turkey sandwich with lots of veggies on WW pita, mayo and mustard

S: PB yogurt w/banana

Exercise: 30 minutes weights, 20 min hard workout on elliptical

TUE:

B: 3 stalks celery with smoked salmon spread, coffee w/milk

S:

L: big salad again

S:

D:

S:

I'll fill in the rest later. I'm determined to lose 2 lbs by the end of the week. LOL. Have a great day ladies!

Hi Leslie and all,

I enjoyed your upbeat posting today! I'd have to say I love PB yogurt too now (I was afraid to try it for a very long time). But a recently discovered favorite is ground turkey stroganoff, which I invented. I posted the recipe in the recipe section.

Here's today:

Breakfast: eggs with spinach, peppers, onions, parmesan; turkey bacon; tom juice; coffee

Snack: celery with vache qui rit

Lunch: Boston lettuce, peppers, cukes, onions & tuna salad; PB yogurt for dessert

Snack: a few nuts

Dinner: Stuffed flounder, steamed squash & string beans; fudgicle for dessert

I'm tired today -- 2nd day of work but so thrilled to be employed even as a temp!

Hugs to all,

Rebecca

Stella,

Here's what I do. I use Dannon FF Plain yogurt, mix in about 1 T of Smuckers Natural PB, a splash of vanilla & a package of equal. You mix it until it blends. So very yummy, and filling! Even my dh, who is French & hates PB, agrees it's good. So who knows, maybe it doesn't taste so much like PB!

Okay, now I'll have to try celery & PB. I really loved my PB on fruit, or mixed into choc ricotta cremes, or just plain with a choc. chip. You're all making me leave my PB comfort zone!

Wow, Suzy. Less than 24 hours and his pain is gone? That is amazing! Many blessing for a quick recovery. Remind him not to overdo it. I'm sure he'll be tempted, but there are still many things to heal there.

I'm glad today's thread is inspiring so many people to try new peanut butter recipes! LOL. As Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing."

My menu was NOT what I planned afterall. On a whim, we went over to friend's house for a playdate. Their kids are practically the same age as mine, and we had a nice relaxing afternoon. But I didn't have my nice big salad. Here was my day:

B: celery w/smoked salmon spread

S: none

L: chickenburger w/swiss and hamburger w/cheddar (they were small), some garnish iceberg lettuce. It was leftovers from a BBQ this weekend and I didn't have any other options. It was very unsatisfying. Later, I was still hungry and ate a handful of goldfish crackers and then a small scoop of peanut butter ice cream. SIGH...

S: none

D: spaghetti squash w/marinara and meatballs, lots of green beans on the side.

S: peanut butter yogurt, what else?? LOL. I got Dannon on sale for 34 cents yesterday, so I got a lot of it.
