Good Morning P2 Friends!

We are getting closer to Friday....can you feel it? ;-)   I can't believe how cool it's been outside.  It feels like autumn here.  The high today is supposed to be 70 degrees.  I had to wear a sweater to work since with the excessive air conditioning in here I freeze.

I am listening to national talk show host Glenn Beck on the radio since he's here in town today for some conference and is doing his show from our local radio station.  I met him last November and he was sooo nice.  If you want to see the photo of me & dh & Glenn, let me know.

I'd better get going here....

Breakfast:  Tried Kashi GoLean cereal for the first time!  Had it with 1/2 c soymilk and 1/2 cup regular 1% milk.

Snack:  None planned today for morning (forgot)

Lunch: grilled chicken and veggies

Snack: yogurt  (Still gotta buy the plain stuff soon so I can make the PB yogurt)

Dinner:  Maybe use leftover rotisserie chicken on salad.

Snack:  sf ff jello pudding

Have a fabulous day!!

Thank you for your prayers Suzy. You are a wonderful person.

I thought that when you wanted a baby you just got pregnant. I didn't realize how difficult it can be for some people. After many months of tears I decided that it was up to God to decide if I should have a baby. The stress was gone and I no longer thought about ovulation and everything. Then one day I found out I was pregnant. It's a tiny bit like love, when you aren't looking for it, it finds you. We decided we wanted another baby in April of 2001. Still no baby. But for those years I've been severely overweight so maybe finding this woe will be the answer. It sure seems that way with all the stories I read about people not being able to conceive and then start sbd and end up pregnant. Suzy, keep the faith. You are a very special person.

Yes, for the most part, I eat the regular kashi go lean. I usually have it in my yogurt. I made the mistake of trying the crunch and I really like it but know it has a bit more sugar but the fiber grams are still way up there.

Hi everyone.

Tricia - my prayers and thoughts to you, your dd and the family. I will pray that he is peaceful during this last time.

Suzy - You are such a wonderful person.

Mary - Congratulations - now you will have to change your screen name LOL

Rebecca - I second Tricia's idea of you coming to my house. You always have such variety in you menu - I always feel like I'm stuck in a rut.

Here's my menu - it's a little messed up because today is my Dad's retirement party at work. He and I work for the same company. He has worked here since I was 10 months old and we have worked together for the last 5 years. I think that may be part of my problem lately - it just won't be the same here.

B: PB yogurt, 1 slice of turkey bacon, V8 (I didn't eat the PB yogurt, so I brought it to work with me)

S: string cheese

L: grilled chicken caeser salad from McD's

S: they are having healthy stuff at Dad's party per my request - he had open heart surgery in March and really watches what he eats. Fruit, veggies, and a cheese tray are on the menu.

D: My whole family is going out to dinner with my Dad (all 8 of us) I have a small family.

The pb cookies are OK. Not great, but are definitely good. Be sure to have them with tea or milk.

You know what's better? The no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. I made them a few weeks ago, but lost the recipe. So now I can make them. Wish I hadn't made the PB cookies - Next week!

Here's the recipe for the no bake cookies, thanks to another lister:

CHOCOLATE OATMEAL NO BAKE COOKIES

2 c. splenda

1/2 c. milk

1/4 c. cocoa

1/2 c. butter

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 c. peanut butter

1/4 tsp. salt

3 c. oatmeal

Combine first 4 ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil on medium heat. Cool 1 minute and add remaining ingredients. Stir well and drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper. These are no bake cookies. Optional: nuts and or coconut.

Try them!
