Good Morning P2 Friends!

We are getting closer to Friday....can you feel it? ;-)   I can't believe how cool it's been outside.  It feels like autumn here.  The high today is supposed to be 70 degrees.  I had to wear a sweater to work since with the excessive air conditioning in here I freeze.

I am listening to national talk show host Glenn Beck on the radio since he's here in town today for some conference and is doing his show from our local radio station.  I met him last November and he was sooo nice.  If you want to see the photo of me & dh & Glenn, let me know.

I'd better get going here....

Breakfast:  Tried Kashi GoLean cereal for the first time!  Had it with 1/2 c soymilk and 1/2 cup regular 1% milk.

Snack:  None planned today for morning (forgot)

Lunch: grilled chicken and veggies

Snack: yogurt  (Still gotta buy the plain stuff soon so I can make the PB yogurt)

Dinner:  Maybe use leftover rotisserie chicken on salad.

Snack:  sf ff jello pudding

Have a fabulous day!!

Hi Suzy,

Yes, you got it.

Anything cold that is left over from the night before. I've been on a cottage cheese binge lately, and also marinated cucumbers. The string beans, tomatoes & avocado were all leftovers from last night.

I bought a tub of mixed nuts, and mixed in Uncle Sam's cereal and some chocolate chips. I have a tupperware at work to last me all week. Great for afternoon snack!

Oh thanks, Tricia. I'm going for whatever's fast these days. I like buying the stuffed flounder (I buy it at A&P like that) because I just throw it in the oven with a little butter & white wine on top. I've greatly simplified my cooking these days -- can you tell? One meat/chicken/fish dinner and one vegetable (usually steamed) plus the usual dessert. No more rice for the time being.

Our neighbor dropped by the other night with a chocolate cake (yikes!) to celebrate my dh's new job. What could we do? We each had a piece (it was too sweet!) and I think we've both gained a pound as a result.

By the way, I love your new smileys. You're very creative with them!

Hi Tea,

I think PB in general is great stuff. So happy it's legal!

Did you try the PB cookie recipe with the vanilla and chocolate chips? I really love them -- I store them in the freezer and eat them nice and cold.

Maybe it helps that I haven't had real cookies since who knows when? LOL

I'll have to try the no bake recipe. Thanks!

Jennifer,

I think you should do a separate post about the Kashi waffles. One of the CL's can check with the nutritionist on the offical SBD website.

Just a thought --

Dear Candi, Tricia & Suzy,

Thank you for all those nice compliments that made me smile!

I think you are all wonderful, too. I love checking in and hearing from you all.

Tricia, I had a neighbor die suddenly on Sunday afternoon (we were home when the ambulences came), so I am struck especially this week about the brevity of life on this earth. That's why it's so important to live life to the fullest and to do what's right every day! My prayers are with you!

We can check, but I think so since the sugar is low and it's healthy low fats and good whole grains.
