Hi Everyone!

Can someone recommend some yogurt brands that are allowed on P2 please? I use to snack on Yoplait's french vanilla before (which is delicious!) but I don't think I can have it anymore. I do not like plain yogurt though. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks:)

I have been using Yoplait's french vanilla (0%) since day one. I never used fat free plain yogurt. YUK! I still lost the weight.

Thank you Cathy :) This helps me out tremendously because I was so confused w/ all of the different types of yogurt available. Also I want to thank you again for the recipe you gave me w/ the No sugar added fudgesicles, peanut butter & lite redi-whip. I have had it a few times & it is the perfect fix for my chocolate craving! I sincerely appreciate your help :)

Hi Edy,

This is what I do to avoid all the confusion. Bear with me, it starts out with FF plain yogurt (Dannon), but it gets better, much better! (Also, you don't have to worry about sugar or carbs or fat, and it costs less than flavored yogurt. Plus you can buy an economical larger size container)

Add blueberries, walnuts or other favorite SBD nut, vanilla, packet of Equal (or Splenda), some cinnamon, even SBD legal cereal like Uncle Sam. Stir and enjoy! Makes a great breakfast -- have some turkey bacon with it and you'll stay full for hours.

OR

Make the wonderful PB yogurt. You have to try it to believe it -- I went for months not willing to try it because it sounded too weird. Add a tablespoon of natural PB (I like Smucker's) to your plain yogurt -- add some splenda, vanilla to jazz it up if you like. Stir well and enjoy. I like this as an afternoon snack. A lot of people seem to eat it for breakfast or dessert at dinnertime.

OR

Add some SF jam to it (I like Smuckers). It tastes just like flavored yogurt that's much more $ in the store (and has sugar in it!)

Hope that helps!

Hi Rebecca,

Wow! Those are some great suggestions! I am hooked on Smuckers natural PB (thanks to this site) I also have some Uncle Sam cereal at home so I will give them a try! They sound like great breakfast meals since I usually prepare my omellette at home & then re-heat it when I get to work. Had it not been for all of the wonderful people on this site, I would not have been able to be make progress on SBD.

Thank you!

Hi Edy,

You're very welcome. Eating yogurt like this is my newest discovery, so I'm a bit of a yogurt evangelist, I guess!

My breakfast every single morning is a non-fat plain yogurt mixed with a heaping teaspoon on peanut butter and 2 packets of splenda.

Cathy-

What is it about the Dannon Carb Control version of yogurt that doesn't fit within sbd? I was just wondering.
