Call me crazy. I love to cook and I love to experiment. (The other nite I made broccoli soup which did not turn out to my liking but decided to have the rest of the family give it a try... and my dd said "Mommy, Is this an experiment?" LOL!)

OK, I've gone off track... anyhow, as I was perusing BJ's aisles looking for Splenda (great price btw) I saw sugar free strawberry jam. Smuckers, I believe. I thought OMG, this would be great, mixed with pb in plain yogurt! I LOVE PB&J!!! So whaddya think? Is it crazy? I have to go try this!!!

Jessica

OK, now I really am going to get that glass of wine!

I've seen sugar-free preserves listed in the Phase 2 menu, so I'd think it would be OK.

If you feel that the jam you bought tastes too "fake", because some people are very sensitive to the aspertame taste, try this.

Take about 3-4 strawberries and mash them up with a fork. Add about a packet of Splenda, maybe less depending on how sweet you like it. This is a good replacement for store bought jam, and it's all natural!

Good luck with the recipe, tell us how you like it!

That sounds like a great idea, but I do think that mixed in with PB the jam shouldn't taste too fake.

Please post that. Sounds great. Do you know I never got around to getting that glass of wine last night. I was so busy running around, doing this and that. Never sat down to dinner, even. My dh had a last minute run to Depot (home away from home!) and we ended up picking at the brussel sprouts and carrots from the serving bowls on top of the stove. I swear food tastes better when picked at! And then had a blueberry ff yogurt for dessert, but was really craving the pb&j yogurt!

Tonight's my night for the wine though as I am headed out to a friend's for a girls nite! Hope I am able to control myself and that there are some beach-friendly things there!
