hi everyone! i've been on and off SBD for a while now- over a year. so this summer, i lived by myself in an apartment and didn't really have a hard time making good food choices since i didn't buy junk in the first place so it was never a temptation. plus i worked 9-5 with nothing to do after that, so i worked out almost every day. now, i'm back at school and things aren't going so well- i've gained almost 3 pounds in the past month! ahhh! scary i know. plus odd class/work hours make it harder to find times to workout. so after a night of beer drinking and pizza eating, i started P1 again today - and am DETERMINED to make it through at least a week without cheating at all. i know it will make me feel better, plus jump start a little weight loss which will make me feel more motivated. anyway, i've been so bad in the cafeteria! if anyone has any advice on how to turn down bad foods that are constantly present, i'd love to hear it!

anyway, i find it very easy to cheat to myself, but i don't want to let you ladies down. i'm going to do this and i'm going to do it right. so far i've had an egg white omelet and some cottage cheese for brunch, and some veggies with pb for a snack and i have dinner in 20 minutes and hope i can be just as good. advice and well wishes are more than welcome!

Hey Maggie!

yep, i'm a college student. my dining hall does have some good options, but i must admit, it does get a little old. there are lots and lots of things at the salad bar, so lunch is almost always spinach salad with some veggies, egg whites and a piece of grilled chicken. dinner i can usually make a little salad and some type of protein- oh, and all the cottage cheese my little heart desires! the healthy choices ARE there, its the bad ones i have a problem with! i mean, one can only turn down a cookie so many times, right? anyway, i've been perfect for the past two days, and feel great. thanks,
