I cheated terribly tonight. I've been so good and dedicted, but I ate 3 homemade cookies tonight and then some candy corn!!! My problem is that once I cheat it is hard to get with the program again!

Thanks,

Monica

This is something I've been doing. Remember how awful it made you feel. Chances are that after not eating it for a while, it made your stomach a little sick. I find it makes my blood sugar go crazy and I feel wired. So when I see foods I shouldn't eat like that, instead of thinking of how wonderful they will taste, I imagine how terrible I will feel after. It "talks me out" of eating any.

I think Sally's suggestion is great!

Good news! I'm back on the program! My track record for cheating on any "diet" is to not go back for another 3 - 6 months! That's logic for you! Anyway, I suffered tremendously last night after eating those cookie. I actually had 2 more after posting. It was amazing...all the acid reflux I USED to have, bloating, etc. came back full force and lasted until I finally fell asleep at 1 am! It was the best eye-opener ever! I cannnot believe I used to feel that way several times a week! So the result has been that I had no problem eating my new "normal" way. I looked forward to it!

Cheers,

Monica

Monica, that is awesome!!! Acid reflux feels just awful. I think it does indeed help to remember that yucky, bloated feeling when tempted by something not good for us. I will use that tactic also and will stay on track knowing how much better it feels. :-)

I'm so glad to see you happy & on the program! Let us (any anyone here) post for support instead of giving in to snacking temptation. You can write me anytime also. Encouragement from diet/healthy eating buddies is very important.

Have a great evening!!
