Manic Monday Phase 2 Check In
12
Mon, 10-11-2004 - 10:04am

Good Morning Friends!

I signed up for a month on the SB website since I wanted some help with figuring meal plans and shopping lists so I can get back on track.  I don't think I'll need more than a month, though.  Hopefully I'll be able to do it on my own after that.   I'm (big sigh) going to force myself to eat Phase 1 meals this week (mostly vegetarian to boot!) in an attempt to jump start my weight loss again.  I am also commiting to exercise...a minimum of 20-30 minutes walking per day as well as weight training 4 days a week.   I'm going to be joining a local health club so I will have someplace warm to walk in the winter, and so I can enjoy swimming again. :-)

It's sunny with a high of 68 predicted for today here.  How is it where you are?  Are any of you (who work outside the home) lucky enough to have today off work?  Happy Thanksgiving to any of our Canadian friends!!!

I didn't fix my breakfast & lunch meals today from the website, but I am for tomorrow.

B:  lite Canadian bacon & lite cheese slices, coffee

S: Mozz stick

L:  Mixed greens Salad w/ grape tomates, 1/2 cup black beans & balsamic vinegarette, sf jello.

S: Laughing cow lite cheese

D:  Tofu Catchetori (sp?) from the SB Cookbook, 1% milk to drink

S:  sf ff yogurt (Is PB yogurt allowed in Phase 1?)

Have a great day....in spite of the Monday thing. Giggle!

Suzy, good luck with your time in Phase 1--I hope it's a short, quick visit! And I hope you enjoy exercise. I love to take group exercise classes. They keep me motivated, it's always something new, and I never feel like I'm going at it "alone," you know?

I'm trying to eat fewer Phase 2 foods for the next few days because I had birthday cake on Saturday.

B: Two mini quiches, V8

S: fat free sugar free berry yogurt

L: Salad with chickpeas, hb eggs, raw veggies, artichokes over mixed greens with light/low carb Ranch (1 g sugars)

S: Not sure...probably celery & LCL

D: Spaghetti squash with tomato sauce and mozz. cheese, most likely, and ricotta creme

Exercise: I was 10 minutes late to step aerobics, so I did that class and then went on the elliptical for 15 minutes. A total of about 45 minutes cardio and 20 minutes weight training/abs.

Congratulations Suzy on your renewed commitment! I am also doing the same thing with joining a health club. We're going to drop by there today. I didn't start today off with the right food but I'm not going to let that derail me.

In Fairbanks Alaska it is party cloudy and 40 degrees. It was a cool 33 this morning when we got up to take the car in.

I think pb yogurt is totally acceptable. You know I started back on the p2 eating plan over the weekend and I can already tell the difference in my cravings and how I feel. It's amazing the toll that junkfood and sweets has on your body. I think that if I can eat mostly p1 foods with occasional p2 foods then I will be doing just fine. So I guess I'm on p2 lite!

Take care,

Tricia
