Hello Dear P2 Friends!

I am late this morning due to a College sponsored breakfast I attended to watch a speaker bore me to death about alternative fuels. LOL!

I'm not perfect today with SB, but here goes....

B- scrambled eggs & sausage, coffee (I cheated & had a very small glass of orange juice)

no snack

L- Didn't fix anything so I'm stuck with Chunky Bean & Ham soup

S- lf cottage cheese

D- Probably chicken & veggies

S- fudgesicle

I've gotta go join the gym!  How's it going Tricia with your health club?

I hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day.  It's drizzly here :-(   Let me know how you're doing!

Hugs,

Ok lets see if I can catch everyone at once tonight, LOL

Kristen, I think we all have a standby, mine seems to be montreal chicken and brussel sprouts on nights my husband isn't home.

Welcome to our check in! I see you've already gotten some good advice. I agree that you need more for breakfast. When you only have milk or nothing at all it can set off cravings the whole day. Please try to eat some whole grain cereal or oatmeal, or eggs, or cottage cheese, or something like that. What do you like/dislike to eat & I"m sure we can give you some good ideas from that.

I am sure you will get your metabolism going soon. This way of eating not only works, but it makes you feel good & healthy.

Please stop by often. :-)

Unfortunately, yes. I have two things working against me in the morning: 1. I don't feel that hungry so it's hard for me to have a regular breakfast and 2. I can't get my butt out of bed any earlier than absolutely necessary! Yesterday was a little different because I regularly have a piece of cheese and a piece of fruit around 10:30 (just ran out of time yesterday) so that serves as a kind of late breakfast. But I usually sleep in on weekends and make a veggie omlet breakfast on Sat and Sun.

Thanks Sara,

I'll try to add in another glass of milk (my mom would be so proud). Has anyone tried the carb countdown milk? It has fewer calories and more calcium than regular milk and comes in skim & 2 percent. But just wondering if the "decarb" process makes it better or worse for you?

Here's the info from the South Beach nutritionist about low-carb milk:

Low carb milk is primarily geared towards those that are on low carb diets. The SBD is not a low carb diet and does not count grams of carbs daily. The focus is getting the right carbs in. Milk naturally contains the right carbs. Therefore, low carb milk is not a good choice on the SBD. Use either fat-free or low fat 1% milk instead.
