Good Morning!

I was up until 1am and am sooo tired here at work. LOL!  I am swamped with work so I'm just going to ask everyone to check in & I'll be back to edit & add my menu later.

Hugs,

Hi ladies - Haven't been part of the check in for a while. But I am trying my darndest to get back on track and not see too much damage done from my halloween candy issues! LOL. One positive thing is that I've recommitted myself to working out. I have been to the gym 3 times already this week, and my goal is to go 4 times a week for 4 weeks.

For today, I need to do some shopping, but this is my loose plan:

B: sandwich wrap with cheese, turkey pastrami and turkey lunchmeat, some sliced peppers, shredded cabbage and a drizzle of italian dressing

S: celery with dip

L: Hopefully, I'll get to the store so I can have a salad. If not, I'll have some homeade coleslaw and some low carb soup

S: Not sure, maybe I'll buy some cheese sticks.

D: Again, need to go shopping. So I'm not sure! I have a craving for fish. Maybe I'll make some tuna patties.

S: TWO fugsicles (if I meet my promise of not eating any Halloween candy -g-)

Workout: I'm going to try a new circuit training class at the gym tonight, if I can get there in time. Otherwise, I'll do 20 minutes weights and 35 minutes on the elliptical.

Have a good day everyone!

Leslie

Last night was hard for me--went to an election returns party (without eating dinner first) and did the best I could but was faced with some massive cravings about an hour after I ate. Somehow I was able to resist the cupcakes, baklava, tortilla chips and halloween candy sitting all around. I would have done better had I ate before I left, but I didnt...so...

B: glass of skim milk (by the way Suzy, I bought some cottage cheese for breakfast and I'm actually going to eat it one day--just for you!)

S: cheese stick

L: cup of no sugar forest mushroom soup and 1/2 cup melon

S: green apple and cheese stick

D: 3/4 of a large pita with yogurt dip, chicken shwarma (not sure how SB friendly that sauce was) and 1/2 cup of wild rice.

Ugh. Now that I see it all written out--lots of extra grains and fruit that I don't usually have. Definitely too much, but my choices were limited. I feel a little bad about it but I'll do better today!

Hi friends!

I'm not sure which is worse, trying to go to bed on an undecided election or trying to sleep w/a husband who slept for an hour then was awake all night.

Dawn - Are you eating enough? Looking at your menu made me hungry! LOL. Of course, I have never claimed to have a light appetite either. ;-) Hope you don't mind me asking!

Kristin - I second the request for the meatball soup recipe. I have some meatballs in my freezer that are begging to be put to good use.

Outdoorlady (sorry, I don't know your real name! LOL) - How do you make your cheesy spinach? I have spinach on my menu for tomorrow, knowing that only I'll eat it. But I wonder if I made it cheese if the kids might at lest *try* it?

I still haven't made it to the grocery store. Hope my little guy wakes up from his nap soon!

Hi Ladies,

Hope you don't mind my barging in, but I just had to add an idea for spinach that's really good and easy. It's from the original SBD book (not the cookbook) if you want to look it up. You sautee spinach in some olive oil (with onions & garlic, I believe) then add a few dollops of FF sour cream. Voila, creamed spinach SBD-style. It's really yummy and perhaps your kids would like that as well. When I was a child, I would only eat my spinach creamed :)

Best,

Rebecca

I'm finally checking in. What a night. We didn't go to bed until after midnight. Darn election!

b: rye toast

s: nothing

l: nothing

s: mozz stick

d: going out tonight w/ my parents. Not sure what I'll eat though.

s: not sure.

Rebecca, where have you been? You are not barging in, we welcome you to our conversations.

Suzy, Red Bull is an energy drink. They have sugar free now. Unfortunately it does have caffeine but sometimes it's nice to drink it instead of coffee.

Take care everyone!

Tricia
