Thursday--Phase 2 Check In

Hope everyone is having a successful week. I'm not doing a very good job at sticking to P1 this week. I found out that I really need to make sure I get enough sleep at night. I've been staying up way to late and then getting up so early, I end up kind of grouchy and really not wanting to follow any kind of diet. I'm a lot more perky this morning. I went to bed at 9:30 instead of the usual midnight.

s: nuts
l: salad w/ chicken

Be well!

Morning ladies!
Rainy and crappy here in DC too!
B: glass of milk
S: lf cheese stick
L: chicken breast stuffed with spinach, peppers and feta over field greens (what a find, right across the street from my office!)
D: two turkey "italian" sausages, few table spoons of low sugar tomato sauce, small spinach salad.
S: sugar free low carb chocolate bar (try the z carb kind with peanut butter--they're yummy but a half bar zaps all of your sweet treat calories for the day)
hmmmm...didn't do very well getting a serving of fruit and grain in yesterday--will do better today, promise!
Dawn,
B-Baked egg custard
S-Small granny smith apple and PB
L-Salad w/tomatoes and oil and vinegar dressing and spaghetti squash with sundried tomatoes, ham and parm. cheese

I'm doing a lot better on my water intake today. It is hard for me sometimes because I can't leave whenever I need a bathroom break and I have a small bladder to begin with.
Have a wonderful day ladies-Michelle

Let me clear up what I was saying...the only reason I was a little hungry on that particular day was because I was at a party and my options were really limited. I made the decision to be a bit hungry rather than plunge into the plate of cupcakes and baklava! It's not a usual occurance, just didn't plan well that day.
But I think you're right in saying that I need to make sure I'm not working against myself. That's why I'm trying to make sure I have at least one fruit and one whole grain each day. And the sugar free candy bar was my sweet treat yesterday. I have a half a bar about once a week or so to keep me from sitting down with a bucket of ice cream or something else really destructive.
My new chart on the fridge is working great. It helps me keep track of all my foods, without having to measure or weigh. If I want to have some sweet potatoes at dinner, I can take a quick glance at my chart to see if I've already eaten my fill of starches that day or not.
Here's my menu for today:
B: 2 HB eggs and coffee w/milk (wasn't enough, but I had to run and take my DD to preschool)
S: 2 cheesesticks
L: romaine with chicken breast, parmesan cheese and redwince viaigrette (wasn't SBD legal, but I only had a splash), also some baby carrots and grapes. Then I finished the last 3 bites of my DS's grilled cheese (oops!)
S: Another cheese stick and chicken salad with whole wheat crackers.
D: Porkchops, green beans, spinach. Noodles for DH and the kids.
S: PB yogurt w/banana
After been MIA for a while, I am thrilled to be reminded how much it helps me to be on the board and listing my daily menu. I'm so glad to be hanging out with you ladies again :)
Have a good day!
Leslie
