Smart Balance Popcorn ALLOWED?

HELLO - I'm on phase 2 and wondering if I'm allowed to have smart balance popcorn (lightly buttered) it says there are no trans fatty acids, its non-hydrogenated, has 120 calories per bag, 0 sugar, 4g dietary fiber, 18g total carbs.

Also - Cathy or Maggie - one of you provided me with that info sheet that tells of the three important food components that will slow down digestion of sugars in carbs. In the section ACID it says sourdough bread will slow digestion because although it is not high in fiber, it is acidic.

The reason I ask about that is because I had a piece of sourdough bread yesterday & dipped it in Dipping Oil Herb Flavored Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar.

The label on the bread says 110 calories per 1 slice, 5 from fat. 0 sat & trans fat, 4% fiber, sugars LESS than 1g

Is it okay to have these *popcorn* and the bread & olive oil?

I would think its okay, as long as I dont eat it daily.

If it is okay, how often would I be allowed these items?

Lastly, when I look at packaging labels at the grocery store - what KEY things should I look for? I thought the sat & trans fat/sugars/fiber.

ANY advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Yvette

Sara,

You are both doing an awesome job and I don't think his popcorn is setting him back at all.

no the popcorn isn't hurting him at all at this point (keep in mind he still weighs 338 to though), I think in time he'll have to start being more careful.

Sara,

He won't have to deal with these issues until he hits a stall.

And knowing him when he does finally hit a stall it will be an intentional stall.
