Monday Check In/Happy Birthday Tricia
23
Mon, 11-15-2004 - 8:53am
I thought I'd start us off today. I think it's Tricia's birthday, so I wanted to be the first to wish you a very happy one, dear Tricia! Even though I've become a lurker for the past month or so for a variety of reasons, I have been following your move to Alaska and am so happy that you are with your dh full time these days. I am intrigued by Alaska and enjoy hearing about it. I know this will be a great year for you.

SBD is working for us, slowly but surely. dh continues to lose weight faster than I do but I think it's a matter of being patient with the results.

dh & I had our usual SB breakfast today, scrambled eggs/eggbeaters with peppers and onion, turkey bacon, tomato juice and coffee.

For lunch I will make a salad most likely.

I'm thinking about making chicken breasts with goat cheese and some kind of veggies for dinner, with pumpkin pudding with cool whip and toasted pecans for dessert.

I am planning to go to the store today and buy the ingredients for a homemade vegetable soup. I have a temp job starting tomorrow (thank goodness for small favors!) so want to make a few things to last for the week. Made the SB chili last week and it was truly awesome.

Have a good day, everyone!

Hi Tricia,

Wow, Dec. 2 will be easy to remember. That's my dad's birthday and this year it's the 5-year anniversary of the arrival of my dh to this country.

My mistake reminds me of all those times we tell our favorite local Thai restaurant that it's somebody's birthday. They have the goofiest way of singing happy birthday.

That's makes us both Sagittarius!

Hope your day's great anyway. Any snow today? I turned off the heat & opened up since it's in the 50's today. The cats love to roam on the balcony.

Hugs,

Rebecca

No, Sara, I'm the one that has to apologize. I wish there were a way to revise the Subject line, to chance the "Trici" to "Sar"!!!

I hope your day is a fabulous one. I guess it's the "outdoor lady" in you that yearns to be in Alaska, eh?

Many happy returns to you on YOUR day,

Rebecca

This Thai restaurant wouldn't happen to be in New Jersey, would it?

Cathy,

It sure is a small world, isn't it! The one we go to is in Stirling, right near Gillette.

(((Sara)))

I hope that your dream will come true for you. When your daughter leaves the nest maybe that will be the time for you to find your place in the country. It's good to have a dream, because then you can work towards its fulfillment. I will wish that really hard for you on your birthday!!

Hugs,

Rebecca

Rebecca,

I knew there couldn't be 2 Thai restaurants in the world with the same crazy waiters.
