I just finished phase 1 yesterday and I'm down 10 pounds! plus I'm wearing a skirt that just 3 weeks ago I couldn't zip up. I'm so happy! I'm going to make pasta tonight with houten mills whole wheat pasta and ragu no sugar added sauce and ground turkey breast.

Thank you Cathy,

It feels good to be able to have a piece of fruit or slice a bread now but I noticed on another board some said I should be phase 1 for another week?! Should I? I mean thought it was 2 weeks and then on to phase 2 at least thats what I remember from the book. I thought you only extend phase 1 if you have a lot of weight to lose (my goal is 30 pounds) so I just figured it would be alright.

What do you think.

My husband and I opted to stay on P1 longer (both had at least 100 to lose) but I honestly don't think it helped either of us anymore than P2 is doing and we feel better with our fruits and whole grains.

Thanks guys!

I have to admit when I got that reply (from a diffrent site)she seemed kinda "diet crazed"

in posting to me("you know, if you stick to phase 1 for another week you'll be really close to your goal weight! I think that you should!"). And, I know I wouldn't lose the same because from week1 to week 2 of phase 1 my weight loss slowed abit but my tummy did get flatter as promised! Yeah, I wanted stuffing for thanksgiving(made with phase 2 friendly bread that is) and I think phase 1 worked because I haven't wanted anything sugary since last friday. I find myself craving things like tuna steak and cauliflour or

sugerfree peach jello with coolwhip free. That's right, I find myself at work thinking about jello and not cookies!

I'm in no hurry to lose this last 30 pounds if it will be forever and I don't have to stave to do it.

HEy Everyone!

I just started Phase 2 today. At first, I was determined to stick to Phase 1, thinking it would spead up my weightloss, but i've since decided that moving one would be best for me so I don't get bored with my food choice. Although i'm a little nervous about eating carbs again, i'm sticking to the PHASE 2 approved carbs and really limiting my intake for a week or two to see how my weightloss progresses.

I do have a quick question....can we have soy in Phase 2? For my carb today, I had soy chips (kills the craving for chips). They have 70 calories per serving, 1.5 g total fat, 1.5 g dietray fiber and 9 grams of carbs.....
