Mornin' Phase 2ers!

I found a new (well, new to my store) product that looks SBD/P2 & 3 friendly!  It is called CarbDown Flatout.  (Sara - I got them at Schnucks in case you are interested.) It is a package of flatbreads.  There is a regular version but the low carb version had better nutritional values.  The sodium is a little high but I figure since this would only be a once or twice a week thing it would be okay.  Plus, they aren't the cheapest things - a package of 4 was about $3.49.  Dh will probably have them more often than I will because it makes for a very portable lunch.

Here are the main ingredients:  water, whole wheat flour, vital wheat gluten, oat fiber, corn starch, soybean oil, maltitol, yeast, salt, sugar beet fiber, sodium bicarbinate, spices, etc...  I don't see any red flags...do any of you?

Nutritional values:  cal:  110, fat: 3g (no sat/trans fat/cholesterol), carb: 24g, dietary fiber: 15g, sugar: 0, sugar alcohol: 1g, protein 11g, sodium: 570mg

I made a wrap for dh today for lunch (he was so happy to have a 'sandwich'!) & it was pretty darned big.  I think I'll use 1/2 one for me & have a small salad on the side.  I snuck lettuce, carrot & black beans into his since he won't be having a salad w/it. ( ;

Here is the menu for today:

B: 1 egg, 2 pieces turkey sausage (splurge), glass of V8

S: celery & 1Tbs PB

L: 1/2 wrap with turkey, lettuce, black beans, salsa and a little bit of LF sour cream or ranch dressing, side salad

S: yogurt

D: leftover mini-parm meatloaves (dh will be late getting home & these are easy to reheat), steamed snow peas,  leftover confetti rice

S: SF hot cocoa

Talk to y'all tomorrow!

Thanks Bets, I have tried the carbdown flatouts (Shop & Save has them too in front of the deli case) but in general I prefer the LaTortilla whole wheat tortillas myself (At shop & Save on a shelf near the bottom in the section w/the low carb bars-yuck).

Okay, I tried the flatbread...oddly enough it tasted like there was too much bread! LOL - I never thought I'd be saying that!

Hi Phase 2 ers,Hope every one had a great holiday. We Just got back from visiting our DD & GC in N.Y..We had a great time untill I caught a stomach virus for the last two days down there. Than dealing with the snow storm up on the Cape, was another downer.Didn't bring any winter clothes down with me as the temps were up in the 50's. Haven't been eating much these days.Just the thought of food is a no no Hope this will help lose what I gained during the Christmas Parties we had the week before. Hugs Maryann

My menu today was:

B-egg,with morning star bacon on 1 sl of WW bread Herbed tea

S-canned button mushroom with flavored vinegar

L-Bowl chicken noodle soup with 1 wasa cracker

S-1 banana

D-mashed butternut squash with spinach and texas toast,1c chicken soup

went to bed early, didn't have any dessert.
