Happy New Year Phase 2 Check In!

Happy New Year to all my
friends and to all the new friends that are welcome to join in the fun here!
It's going to be a better year for me I can just feel it. I have 20 lb to lose
and I'm committed to success. For those who don't know me, I lost 60 lb in 2003
on WW and then had trouble learning how to maintain the loss. I regained 20
lb over last year and feel awful. I am starting 2005 knowing I want to eat healthy
and exercise and embrace the SB way of eating since I feel so good eating this
way and I know the research backs up the wisdom of this plan.

We were going to KC for
NY day but dh is sick. I think maybe from food poisoning from dinner at a restaurant
last night? We've postoned our trip until tomorrow. How was your NY eve celebration?
Mine was low-key. After eating out dh started feeling bad so he ended up going
to bed early. I watched tv and had a wee bit of champagne at midnight, wished
my furkids a Happy New Year, and went to sleep. LOL Exciting party girl I'm
not! LMBO!

Have a fabulous weekend
and I look forward to hearing from everyone and encouraging each other to lose
the weight for good this year. We can do it! :-)

Happy New Year! I gave myself permission to
leave the Beach New Years Eve and had a small
portion of white rice, and a rather big helping
of low carb ice cream and some regular cookies.
Instead of doing take out this year, I made three
large stir frys -- one from the South Beach Cookbook
and two from Eating Well magazine. They were great and
I had so much fun playing chef.

For 2005, I'm counting my nuts and putting them in little
baggies...'cause that's my downfall.

It just occured to me that you may not have the paid Express Yourself membership on IVillage? That would explain why you aren't seeing a personal signature under your board settings. I'm sorry for the confusion. If you decide you'd like to try the Express Yourself I'd be happy to help you set up your siggy/tickerfactory stuff. :-)

Isn't it fun to play chef? :-) I'm glad you enjoyed your NY and you're getting right back on track now...that's how great SB is! I'm like you and find it helpful to put single portions of nuts, etc. in baggies...giggle!

I wonder about the bamboo. That is weird.
