Good Morning P2ers!

Well I had some trouble getting into IVillage this morning around 6am.  I couldn't post or anything.  I tried 3 different computers and I kept getting an error message.  Now I'm at work and so far so good.  Funny, huh?

I was out shopping last night trying to find shirts to wear for my PT job.  Did you know you can never find anything when you're looking for it? LOL  It seems to be difficult to find decent black or white shirts with collars or turtlenecks that are reasonably priced.  The search continues....

Today & tomorrow will be long for me.  With both jobs I won't be home until after 10:30 tonight or tomorrow.  I'll try to pop in here and there from my day job at least.

How are you all today?  We're getting a blast of very cold weather the next few days.  How about you?  What are the temps in Alaska now Tricia?

I've been stuck at the same weight for a week now.  Why is it so hard to lose this time around?  I bet you'll say I need to exercise more, right? ;-)   I'm sure you're right!

Breakfast:  Today I had Kashi GoLean with milk and some coffee

Lunch: grilled chicken & asparagus

Snack: yogurt

Dinner:  Something quick....maybe salad?

Have a happy Hump Day everyone!!

Hi Sara:

Good luck with the job hunting, I just went through all that a few months ago myself so I know what you mean...I had the same thing, nothing for the longest time and then all kinds of calls at once!

I went corporate this time around, but most of my past work experience has been in non-profits. If you've never worked for one before, especially if you're applying for positions in the finance department, be prepared for the fanatics!!!! There are a lot of wonderful people who make non-profit work their life and do great things, but they tend to be a lot less fiscally responsible than your corporate types who want to increase their profit margins and they tend to be a little rough on financial people who need to say "No, as a matter of fact, you cannot buy an airplane for the four international trips we do per year" (true story, my boss pouted for months once we convinced him that jet fuel, pilot salary, and storage costs alone would be more expensive than 40 roundtrip tickets a year ;-) ) Having a 5-y-o is great preparation, I found that I used a LOT of my preschool-teacher/babysitter techniques in those jobs ;-)

We'll have to see how it goes with Munchkin tonight, I'm not expecting too many problems because I'm going to have her help me make soup and turkey tacos...but then again I thought breakfast for dinner would be easy, too, lol.

Take care, and good luck with your interview!

Hey Kristin,
My bday is Friday (47! Ouch!). My hubbie wants to bring
home Chinese because he can't cook...are potstickers the same
as the chinese dumplings? I'm trying to think of good choices
that he can get. The steamed veggies are ok, but kind of bland.

Sounds like the same thing to me.
