Hi!
At this time there are no meal replacement shakes recommended on South Beach Diet. Remember that the SBD encourages the use of whole foods rather than fabricated bars and drinks. This eating plan is meant to teach you how to make lifelong healthy food choices. When you do have free time—on the weekends or in the evenings—make an effort to prepare some meals that you can have on hand during the week. And make sure your kitchen is stocked with premade salads, hard-boiled eggs, low-fat cheese sticks, nuts, and other convenient, portable foods.
However, in phase 2, if you wish, you could use the Sugar-Free Carnation Instant Breakfast and count it (the powder) towards your 75 calorie/day 'sweet treat' limit. I believe it's 70 calories unmixed. This would leave you only 5 'sweet treat' calories left for the day. You may want to try using only half the packet, so you can have more 'sweet treat' calories left for your day. The milk you use would count towards your dairy choice.
