I want chocolate

I have been doing SO good - so good.... but today - I really want a chocolate bar.

I live around the corner from a 7-11.. and I think the only thing keeping me from going to grab some is the fact that there is plenty of snow out there, it's cold...... and I am on some serious pain medication here.

So what do I do?

I need the "real" stuff too... like ummm.... a 3 musketer or an oh'Henry... sorry if I am makin' ya'll hungry... but I don't know where this is coming from all the sudden.

It's just it is my second day on Phase 2 and I don't think that I am doing as well as I though... I am thinking that maybe I am eatting too much.

here is what I ate today:

B:Shreddies with 1% milk (I know shreddies aren't SB friendly - but I only like two cereals... shreddies and raisin bran... so I figure i'd go with the ones with less sugar)
and a yogurt (I use VERY little milk on my cereal)
S: Apple and 4 cashews
L: a chicken fajita (it was yucky) and a salad - with a coffee
D: roast beef with steamed broccoli (YUM!) and a salad
Then I had another yogurt and 1/2 a cup of mango (it was probably less then that)

Is this too much? Have I been to bad??

We don't have Uncle Sam Cereal here in Canada... but there are some other options that I could try - I think for the most part though I will just eat my slice of 12 grain/multigrain bread in the morning with natural peanut butter... it seemed to fill me up (of course I had a hardboiled egg with it... and a yogurt) so that is all from P2 that I am having today.. just gotta start slower... I was too excited to add fruits in.. lol

Hi spunky,

I always crave chocolate! Usually I make a Mocha Ricotta and use lots of cocoa (I buy a good, premium cocoa to get the full chocolate flavor). My daughter (who needs to gain weight!) has her bowl of ice cream at night, so I eat my bowl of ricotta.

I too am a self admitted chocoholic and am now in phase one, day 7. I'm doing quite well. I actually have to remind myself to eat now. There is a receipe i found on the internet that says it's sbd phase 1 friendly...chocolate souffle muffins. I made them and they are fabulous. Now i know they have butter in them, but heh, i figure it's gotta be better than if i ruined this whole phase one for a chocolate bar. I posted the receipe in my post a few days back...it was titled something like.."does splenda need to be limited?" Look for my post about the splenda and read through the threads, you should find the goldmine receipe and how i modified it. I absolutely LOVE them and they have saved me on many occassions..esp..since i am an emotional eater and have been going through some rough stuff the last few days. Give them a try, i'd be surprized if you didn't like them. Everyone in my family loves them as do i. It's a perfect alternative. Let me know if you try them and what you think. They are soooo yummy. Best of luck in your next phase. Just forgive yourself for eating the chocolate and start a new day tommorrow...hugs...suzanne

Suzanne,

You would just need to substitute Smart Balance or other trans-fat free spread for the butter in the souffle recipe.

Hi Spunky, I remember this conversation about a week ago re: lactose intolerance, milk, soymilk, and you looking for chocolate milk you could drink.
