Good Morning!

I still want to respond to all of your posts yesterday but thought I'd better get the ball rolling on this Hump Day.  It's supposed to get to around 44 degrees here today.  Murphy's Law....I washed my car last night and now there's going to be tons of melted dirty snow in the streets to dirty up my car again in not time! LOL!

How are you doing today?  Will you be doing some exercise?  I am determined to do some when I get home.  I am also vowing to do better on drinking water today.

I was working on the website a little more last night.  I hope to finish it up soon.   I love seeing everyone's sites and beautiful photos! :-)

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Breakfast:  (I know I need to get up earlier and make eggs & canadian bacon....) The "usual" yogurt with Kashi cereal mixed, coffee.

Forgot to bring snack

Lunch:  salad with grilled chicken

Snack:  PB yogurt  (It's just sooo good!)

Dinner:  Unsure at the moment....I will pick a recipe from my SB Cookbook.

Snack:  sf ff pudding

((((Hugs to everyone!))))

DH has decided he's basically doing P3 for the month of January (and most of december which he wont admit to) to see how easy/hard it for him to maintain.

Good morning!

The heater's still on the fritz, and now because I moved my furniture and stuff around, anywhere I plug in the space heater blows a fuse because some idiot wired everything except the stove and one outlet that's now covered by two bookcases together! So I'm a little frustrated, but I'll live, lol.

Funny thing...I watch 30-Minute Meals all the time, and Munchkin has started watching with me now. The other night she was playing dress-up off by herself, and I walked past and heard her go "I'm Rachael Ray and I make 30-Minute Meals..." and sure enough, a few minutes later she comes over to me with some pretend food for me to try that was FANtastic ;-) She can't read very well yet, but she keeps asking me if she can look at my "Rachael cookbook" and wants me to read the recipes to her, lol. Maybe we've got a budding chef on our hands?

Today's menu...

B: Scrambled eggs with steak, cheese, peppers, and onions (from the cafe, don't even want to think about the fat content, but none of the other egg choices had veggies).

S: Apple w/ PB (PB was also from cafe and was not-so-good, but I figured I should have a carb blocker)

L: Going out for Greek food, haven't been to this place so don't know what's on the menu but I could always fall back on salad.

S: Veggie crudite

D: Curry turkey burgers (from 30-Minute Meals, lol, so Munchkin can help me make them); Spicy Tomato Soup (she'll never notice the spinach); and broccoli

Dessert: Lemon ricotta creme

Good morning ladies! I hope you all are feeling well. I'm a bit under the weather not mention that TOM is around the corner. Ugh! Thankfully it hasn't sidelined me and I'm also going to remember to not step on that scale until TOM has passed. ;o)

I did great on water yesterday but getting a slower start today. Exercise is far from my mind, especially with TOM peaking around the corner. Here is my menu for today...

B: I had some crunchy peanut butter on whole wheat bread and a cup of homemade hot cocoa wtih Splenda and Skim Milk
S: 2 oz of ham
L: A grilled steak salad (leftovers from dinner) with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. And if I am still hungry cucumbers and humus.
S: Cucumbers and humus or pistachios (depending on what I ate for lunch)
D: Rotisserie chicken (white meat only, no skin), a salad and some kind of veggie (mashed cauliflower?,roasted eggplant?)
De: I don't know, maybe nothing or maybe another cup of hot cocoa.

BTW, Suzy and Sara? How do you make that PB yogurt? I have some yogurt at home but haven't figured out what to do with it. :o) Thanks!

First of all, thanks for your comments (including about my kiddos :). Only 24 degrees at almost noon, and it just started snowing here in North Carolina, but only expecting flurries today and tomorrow (supposed to be more problematic by Sunday, but we'll deal with that then).

My car is dirty, but will stay that way for now. I work at home so it stays in the garage where no one can see it most of the time anyway!

I will do an exercise video in the family room this afternoon after the big kids get home from school (so there will be more eyes around to watch baby).

Still doing well with the eating. Everything seems to taste better these days, as you know!

Hi,

I've finally got some energy returning (coughing for the last 4 days), so I'm going to get off the computer and get a cardio workout and hopefully some weights in.

I'm working on my first litre of water. I'll fill the bottle one more time, then switch to herb tea.

Food.... Breakfast: 1/2 c. Original All Bran with 1/2 c. 1% milk, 2 cups coffee
Lunch: Salad with 1/2 c. of salmon
Dinner: Stuffed Green Pepper Boats w/stewed tomatoes, broccoli and salad
Dessert: Apple
Snacks: Cheese String, SF Creamsicle

I am soooo determined to make this work. I was going through the pictures from Christmas yesterday, (first time I've had a chance to look) and I didn't realize how chubby I was again!! I wanna get into my size 10 shorts for the summer time!

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Suzy,

I have a cold today. I was starting to feel better and then my fever spiked again. :( I am just laying low today.

Breakfast: Veggie Quiche and V-8
(Funny, for a girl who typically hates eggs, I really got hooked on this stuff in phase 1.)

Snack: Apricot WW/Oat Muffin w/ vanilla yogurt SBD Style

Lunch: Homemade Chicken soup with wild rice
I had made some a head and froze it specifically for cold and flu season. Boy am I glad I did! :)

Snack: Celery with Chipotle Humus and a glass of milk

Dinner: Tomatoes and Basil Salad with fresh Mozzarella drizzled with olive oil and an aged Balsamic Vinegar I will serve this with Garlic Encrusted Grilled Shrimp

Dessert: The SBD Not Better than Sex Dessert
(I am glad I cut the recipe in 1/2. I am bored of it after eating it for the past 2 days.)

Good Luck everyone!

LOL! I love Food Network! Every now and then I go through these phases when I tend to watch it like CNN. Good for Munchkin, it sounds like she is having fun watching it too. :)

I have picked up so many healthy cooking tips from that channel, but my 2 favorites are:

Cheese: I hate the low fat kind, so I buy regular and only use a tiny bit. To me 2 TBS of a really sharp Cheddar taste better then 3/4 C of the Fat Free kind.

Ingredients: Buying the best Quality I can afford. When my food is rich, I am really satisfied and do not feel like I am missing out on a thing.

How about you, have you picked up any cool tips on Food Network? How about any really yummy SBD approved recipes?
