Hi girls:
Back to P1 today, thanks to a 3-pound mystery gain since yesterday. I had one more grain serving than intended, even though it was P2-friendly, and thought that cutting back on fruit would make up for it but I guess not. Either that or the eating out earlier in the week is just catching up to me now...oh well, another day or two of P1 won't kill me, I suppose.
On the plus side, I did do one session of yoga last night as planned. Another one tonight, and I'll have met one mini-goal for the week, yay! I also have to go grocery shopping still and meet my other mini-goal for the week of not spending too much! TG has decided to just give me the money so he doesn't get in trouble for bringing home the wrong stuff, lol.
So, I'm going to throw a Question of the Day into the mix here: What is your absolute favorite P2 item, the one you were looking forward to adding back all through P1? Not just fruit, or bread, but something specific :-) Mine was oranges, I just love oranges.
So, here's my P1 menu for the day:
B: Scrambled eggs (skipped the cheese to save on fat calories, since I'm still buying breakfast in the cafe)
S: Peanuts (found some without added sugar or trans-fat, yay!)
L: Tomato soup...edited to say: Maybe not, found out I have a meeting at 1 which means I don't have time to go home for lunch, so it's more cafeteria food, I hope I find something P1-edible!!!!!!
S: Veggie crudite
D: If we stay home, portobello burgers or pizzas or else Leftover Soup; If we go out, sushi (and I'll skip the rice this time, I promise).

Morning Girls!
I'm w/Suzy on it being friday.
I'm glad you're feeling ok!
I got that email to and deleted it.
TGIF. DH is down 5 pounds total, I'm holding steady at 4.
Expecting ice tomorrow, but hoping they're wrong. I read this morning about the guy and gal who got lost in the Nebraska snow and froze to death (several 911 calls, but they weren't able to trace back to the cell phone in time). Hard to count how many poor decisions led them to that point, but it's still so sad because it could happen to anyone. :(
Anyway, it sounds like you found a good solution for separating your pets. Ours get along, we've just been lucky and able to bring in kittens and a pup who were able to work their way into the fold while they were young. I'll try to attach their pictures for you.
All of us have a pet of our own (except for the baby). One was a stray and the others were adopted from our local pet shelters here in North Carolina.
My son has a big tabby named Max who is 3 years old and is a doll, very well mannered. He's the only introvert in the group (hides when company arrives), but he's completely devoted to Matthew and sleeps with him every night. I laugh because he's usually waiting in the bunk bed while Matthew brushes his teeth.
My oldest daughter has a black cat with white feet and half a mustache named Whiskers who is 9 months old. She's a funny thing. Tons of energy, and constantly batting a toy around the house or pouncing on the unsuspecting dog.
Mandy dog is my girl, a German Shepherd mix. It's been hard for her to see the baby getting so much of my attention, but she is enjoying sitting next to the highchair these days because baby Claire is sharing all of her finger foods, LOL.
DH has a black smoky tabby cat named Leo who is 14. Leo has spent a good portion of those years in DH's lap purring his brains out. He irritates me to no end because he swipes food and drinks out of the children's glasses of milk when they turn their heads. We found him when he was a young stray on a freezing night in Augusta, GA and he's been with us ever since. You can probably see in the pic that he's missing a small portion of the tip of his right ear from a long-ago fight, but he's doing fine even though he's used all of his nine lives and then some!
So now you know more about the nine of us. Hope I didn't rattle on too long!!

Hey Girls,
I thought I was feeling a little better today. I woke up in the mood to compulsively clean and de-germ my house. I usually get that way when I am finally getting over something. My fever is back up though, so that project is on pause.
I really don't have an appetite, so I don't know how much of this I will actually eat.
Breakfast: 1/2 of a Hardees Breakfast bowl
Snack: Cashews with V-8
Lunch: Chicken Soup with wild rice
Snack: Celery with Chipotle Hummus
Dinner: Mixed Baby Green Salad with Green Apples, Toasted Walnuts, and Blue Cheese with a homemade Raspberry vinaigrette served with Tarragon Chicken

Happy Friday everyone! I hope the work day goes by quickly for all of you. :)

Hey Shan, Portobello Burgers sound yummy. :)
The thing I looked forward to in Phase 1 and now love are those Bluberry Bran Muffins. If I work up the energy, I will probably make a batch sometime today.
