Snapple a day?

Hi (kinda new here but not new to SBD), I am wondering about the "fit" Snapple a day products. There are 3 flavors that are lower in calories, higher in fiber w/no added sugar. Perhaps they aren't available everywhere, they're not even listed on the Snapple website. I am not one to buy processed foods as a rule (even before SB) but I tried these in an effort to have some variety - they serve as a filling breakfast smoothie.
Ingredients in the Blueberry flavor are: Water, soy protein isolate, pear juice concentrate, gum arabic, maltodextrin, pectin, blueberry juice concentrate, phosphoric acid, citric acid, sucralose, red 40, acesulfame potassium, blue 1.
For 1 11.5oz bottle:
Calories 90
Fat 0
Cholesterol 0
Sodium 150 mg
Potassium 500 mg
Total carbohydrate 16g
Dietary Fiber 7g
Sugars 7g
Protein 7g
I know we're to avoid or limit juices but given the calories and other stats, I don't think there's all that much in there. Granted, they're a little high in sugar because of the juice, but I've been using them anyway - the fiber is pretty high. Just looking for an alternative for the mornings, I am wheat intolerant so most cold cereals are out for me and I have eggs 6 out of 7 mornings.
Am I deluding myself into thinking this SaD product is SB P2 ok? Sorry if this product has been discussed here before - I did a search and came up empty.
Thanks
Holly

Hi,
Sorry
Do you know why?
Are you sure the recommendation isn't against the REGULAR SaD, which has 210 calories and no fiber, little protein and added sugar?
This is really disappointing. My food universe continues to shrink - I am an overweight wheat/gluten intolerat, lactose intolerant vegetarian. :(
Hi Holly,
I'm so sorry to dissappoint you.
Thanks for your response. I am lactose intolerant so the smoothie suggestions you give will not work for me. I do use soy milk and I thought the soy protein in the SaD would be equivalent to that - this is the first I ever heard that soy protein was not recommended. I guess a glass of soymilk and a cup of blueberries will have to do in place of the SaD once a week.
I just went ahead and joined the official SB online site in case there are other nuances of which I am unaware (after 14 months on the program!) like the restriction against soy protein. I know about not using juices - never do as a matter of fact, but with 7 grams of fiber in the SaD it beats any piece of whole fruit I know of so I was allowing it once a week.
Oh well, live and learn. Thanks again.
I knew the fiber was coming from the soy, not the juice. Fruit juice is the devil as far as I am concerned!
Do you know what the difference is between soy protein and soy milk? I am trying to understand why one would be ok and not the other.
