Carrot question

Okay, I am a little confused on carrots - I know they are allowed on phase 2 and they are listed in the "Vegetable" category. Does this mean they are "unlimited" like the other things in the vegetable category? I seem to remember reading somewhere that they were something to have in moderation- but now I can't find where I thought I read that!

So do they count as a veggie and are unlimited, or are they more like peas and sweet potatoes and count more as a carb/starchy veggie and need to be limited?

My dh LOVES carrot sticks and really wants them for a snack during the day but I wasn't sure if that would be okay.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure carrots are a starchy vegetable, and should be on your "to watch" list. Raw carrots are hard to beat nutrition-wise, but they do cause cravings for some people. For me, I need to be sure to have them with a cheese or protein like I do with fruit.

There is no limit on carrots in phase 2.
