Happy Friday!!!!
My vet called and one of the exotics consultants finally got back to her about Gandalf's x-rays. The good news is that she saw no evidence of any roots growing into his sinuses or eye sockets on the upper teeth. :-) She did see one of the bottom teeth where the root has grown through the jaw bone which she suggested we have pulled. My vet wants to hear from the other vets (Kansas and/or California) today to see what they think. He needs to recover some more before I'd consider putting him through surgery again.
It's sunny here today and is supposed to warm up again which should melt more snow. How is the weather today where you are? Do you have any fun weekend plans?
Breakfast: ff plain yogurt w/Kashi & coffee
Snack: (forgot....I have to plan my menus ahead for next week so I'm better prepared)
Lunch: ww pasta with lf tomato & cheese sauce
Snack: apple & lite LC cheese
Dinner: Am going to Wild Oats to look for some inspiration....something organic and SB friendly.

Hello all:
Thanks for the hugs, they were needed and appreciated :-) TG is at his follow up appointment right now, he seems to be doing very well so hopefully the doctor will confirm that! He's still sore and stiff, but he's back at work today, so that's a good sign.
Lots to do at work today, so here's the menu:
B: oat bran hot cereal, with cinnamon and Splenda
S: mixed nuts
L: Shrimp over mixed baby greens salad (I have the spaghetti noodles too since they were in the same dish, but I'm leaning towards tossing those, the salad sounds better).
S: Cheese and an apple
D: Going to TG's parents' house for dinner tonight, no idea what they're serving, but his dad is diabetic and his mom has been cooking more in the South Beach style (although she doesn't know it, lol) since his diagnosis so I'm not too worried :-)

hi everyone,
I am here today. Barely. Still sick and up with the kids all night. I wonder if lack of sleep keeps you from losing weight? Not that there is anything I can do about it, just wondering. I have been yo-yo'ing the same pound and 1/2 up and down for days now. Maybe I should just weigh myself once a week.
Well, I've been up since 4:45am and it's 8:15 and still no breakfast yet. There really is just no time!! It's frustrating sometimes, but I am sticking with this. I am having tea and almonds, and I'll go fetch something in the kitchen once I am done posting.

I ususally do pack veggies and or fruit for work, but they brought lunch in yesterday and there wasn't anythign SBD friendly there. Had it been for the whole company I would have just skipped it totally, but it was brought in for like 5 of us that have busted ass the last month to gets lots of messes cleaned up.

Went to Whole Foods this morning because I'm sick of reading labels on tortillas at my grocery store. I was sooo happy to find at least 3 options there that were very good choices. I think the one I chose was the 365 store brand. I bought 5 packages, and froze most of them. It's a haul to WF, so I stocked up!
B: boca sausage, zuchinni and egg scramble; coffee w/milk
L: vegetarian chili and a very green salad from the salad bar at Whole Foods; shared a vegan chocolate mousse with the kids
S: GoLean crunch bar -- so much for my celery! Oops
D: Veggie stirfry
S: PB yogurt
And guess what? DH called a friend behind my back and ask her to babysit tomorrow so we can have a date! Wow! I'm looking forward to it. We haven't been out in months.
